Yet to see great race craft from Bottas. Or any race craft. Normally spends his weekend driving about not racing anyone and rolling out the red carpet for his teammate.
What you say about Bottas is just your opinion. Maybe it's time for you to revisit the definition of racecraft ?
In fact the WCC is hugely important, more even so for Ferrari for which it was all that mattered in the past !!!
Is your idea of racecraft: Dash to the first corner in a dominant car, and then off into the distance ?
I cannot wait for Hamilton to win his 8th title and break all Schumi's records: I want to see the haters of this forum to flounder!
He can win 16 titles, if he wins like the first 6 ones they will be wortless, except for the blinded fanboys....
I remember the rules kept changing to thwart MS and his approach to the race (not being able to do a full lap prior to grid formation. Park formet. etc, etc, etc). The rules have been virtually constant under the current streak of LH.
I don't know if Hamilton will win 8 titles or not, being 2 short at the moment, but I hope he does. He has more chances to beat the record of 91 GP wins, maybe even this year.
Not to mention FIA suddenly changing tyre regs to thwart Ferrari. Job done. Hamilton has had a cruise
You have a short memory. I lost count how many times MS stuck it on pole and then dropped back to mid-pack off the line Just to keep things interesting and do some actual overtakes
So, just checking in, I've found out that: Scumacher leaving a top team and going to the third best team makes him the master when it became a winner. Lewis leaving a top team and going to the 5th best team made him lucky of Schumachers ability to improve a car two years later when it started winning. OK, got it. Lewis having a number of racing incidents with Filipe makes him a hack driver, but Schumacher driving competitors off track, deliberately crashing to block the track and T boning Hill make him a wheel to wheel genius. Do I have that right? Numerous contemporary drivers and team personal who have raced against and or worked with say Lewis is the greater natural talent, but that's just blowing smoke. Check. Did I miss anything?
Yes you did, 7 x WDC's If you want blow smoke up Hamilton's backside, Pistonheads is the forum for you
Amazing how people still try to compare the two of them, i can understand that most elton lovers never saw michael driver, and they wouldn't recognize a genious drive if it was shoved down their eye balls, but the folks that actualy saw him, and the ones before, showld use their brains a bit more, it's just so ridiculous!
Lewis has a 75% or better chance of tieing the 91 race win record. But it does not matter: even if Lewis won 10 WDCs at least 1/2 the people on the NG would poo poo his abilities. Bit if he were hired by Ferrari and then won 0% over 3 years, this NG would consider him the best driver possible. That is this NG is not filled with rational people.
