Onboard footage is showing Hamilton tinkering with the steering wheel more than usual, with the wheel itself being pulled back. Whether that changes ride height, or rake... Well Mercedes are staying quiet. But they haven't denied anything. Expect more to follow on this throughout the day...
Holy moley They're just too good. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.tech-insight-have-mercedes-just-changed-the-game-with-new-steering-wheel.78KDOPX7xRy9YtaFZPCKC4.html

Jolyon Palmer's verdict: Ferrari remain elusive, Mercedes 'ahead of the game' on Day 2 "Ferrari, it is still impossible to get a read on. Between them, Haas and Alfa, they all appeared to not be doing much until Raikkonen topped the timing sheets, which indicates what Ferrari might be capable of if they turn their engine up. "Raikkonen topping the leaderboard at the end of the day shows how difficult it is to call testing, as up until that point Alfa hasn't looked particularly good." "Racing Point look good once more, and as for Mercedes – they look ahead of the game in most areas. But at least their rivals can gain some hope from their reliability woes towards the end of the day, with what appears to be an ERS issue."
The (huge) movement of the front wheels is from toe out to toe in. Very clever. A toe out setup also makes the car unstable in a straight line at high speed, so this trick will make DRS overtakes easier and allow more extreme moves.

It's hard enough to read who's quickest in qualifying. I'd don't think any onlooker can take any testing results seriously. The data only benefits the teams, and they only have a rough idea of where they stand with the competition. We will have to wait until Q3 in Melbourne.
