My 2000 has a Tubi exhaust ( I don’t know if it was a factory option or was an aftermarket addition) . Were the exhaust bypass valves eliminated with the Tubi system ? Last time I was under the car I don’t remember noticing them .

I’m not near the car at the moment. I was wondering if the Tubi eliminated the valves in all installations . Sounds like they may or may not have been retained . I’ll have to look when I get home.

what"s the point out of curiosity of retaining your stock valve tips? When the valves are open is it even louder or better sounding than Tubi tips?

I realize this is an old thread but with a non-valved tubi how do you not get a CEL from the evap system? Do you tune the ecus to turn that off?

exhaust flap vales have nothing to do with the evap system

they were installed for two purposes - a) noise reduction at lower speeds, and b) held gasses in exhaust a bit longer so they might be clear upon exit due to more heat w/in exhaust system

California is the worst and getting even worse.

Makes no valid sense, and it ends up costing us all here a ton more

    91 today is $5.25 and 9/10's

California makes most gas for Oregon and Washington. Neither area is even close to that price

    Does that make sense?

Naples Florida is a great spot if you can handle the temps down that far south. Real estate is insanely expensive but probably no worse than CA. Also no state income tax. Port Royal is a great neighborhood if you want your own dock.

Considered Naples but now looking at the Tampa area

Naples is a bit far South

High house prices don't scare us. We are very used to that

    Have to check Port Royal.

Concerned about ris9ing sea levels. So being at the water is a major concern

Lake Norman is in North Carolina.

Looking for a warmer climate, and that's why Florida is attractive

Yes rising sea level is a concern being close to the water

And what does all of this talk about rising seas have to do with Tubi exhausts? Because the tips are low enough to get submerged? LOL
