hi all, I have read various threads on this, including do it yourself possibility. however looking for someone that can repair the lights on the dash of the 360. Its been out already and Cartright had someone look at but said they didnt have the parts to repair it. Fed up waiting now and want it sorted for this season. . Ideally looking for somewhere uk that can repair it. The fault is when you switch on the lights, the gauges dont light up, the needles do and the heater controls but not the gauges. Car is going to cartrights next week for service so he could send it off while he has it for annual. thanks in advance, Scott.
sounds like the back panel has failed. see the thread below or consider sending it out to Francorchamps of America, Inc. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q-sponsored-algar-ferrari/166195-360-instrument-cluster-backlights-out.html
Most probably the electroluminescent panel has failed ... but it could also be caused by some burnt components in the DC/DC inverter. I have a spare panel I could sell or do the repair for you. PM me for details ...
Hi Scott. I sent my cluster to "Eric355" and it came back working just great- still is. Would absolutely recommend using Eric, if you can`t have it fixed by a local company.
No worries Eric... to be honest I have forgot about the customs issue, especially after being able to enjoy the CS upgraded cluster on every ride so far.
hi eric, thanks, this may be the best answer, whats your email address so I can get details regards Scott [email protected]
Hi everyone. new to the site. great material. My instrument light in my new 360 spyder has the same problem. Gauge light don't come on but the needles does. checked both instrument fuses and they are fine. Taking the cluster out today to check it out. Anyone knows anyone who can fix it in USA? or anyone can give me some DIY tips. I am a retired mechanic and good with electrical.
Hi Eric, I’m having the same issue with my instrument cluster. Any suggestions on how to resolve it myself? Would you send me your email address also so that we can discuss my options? Thanks, Glen [email protected]
Mine's fried too. Bought it that way. Something that should be checked on a PPI but was missed on mine. Not a big concern for me as I rarely drive at night. Still, I'd like to repair it someday but I cannot send out the instrument panel as I drive the car almost everyday. There must be a reasonable way to patch in a replacement to the original obviously failure prone system.
Anyone ever try this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-360-F131-Dashboard-Backlight-Instrument-Panel-Dial-and-Gauges-for-Dash/233203448720
1968 Ferrari 365 2+2, dash lights will not work. I just had the alternator re-worked, Voxson capacitor was junk, bypassed for now. going over the schematic to the fuse panel and ignition everything seems fine from what I can tell. I fixed some rusty grounds but tested first and was fine, what am I missing?
Probably the 5 in your Google search. This is the 360 forum. I don't have a legible diagram for the 365. Does the 365 2+2 instrument lighting system have a dimmer knob? Broken rheostat? Any relays involved?
