So over the weekend I traded in my 60K mile 328 on a 2008 Ferrari 599. I always loved the 599, and wanted to add the car to a collection vs. trading my 328 in. But as you know wives have a way of influencing things, and she was adamant that two Ferrari's was just TOO MUCH.... so after a lot of soul searching and thinking I overcame my 308/328 addiction and traded the car on my new Ferrari.

While I'll always love the 308/ 328 cars, I may not be as active here... but to those like me who are on this board I just want to say THANK YOU, over the past 20 years I have learned a lot about my car(s) and the skill and knowledge on this board is amazing. There is literally nothing that you cant research here and come up with a solution and procedure to fix your 308/328.

I had a horrible 308 - and a perfect 328 - so I hope the 599 is more like the latter and not the former.

My love for Ferrari's was born from F- 1 racing and going to Watkins Glen as a kid and seeing road cars - usually 330 gtc's and Dino's at the track. the first time I saw a 308 - it was like a space ship .... always wanted one. the fact that it was built while Enzo was still alive ( mine was an 85 - 86 ) had sentimental value to me... so I'm just as happy that my 2008 599 was built while LDM was in-charge and they were still winning in F-1.

    Thanks all!

    Tom

Nice. You will miss the 328 but that V12 should make up for it.

Sad to see you go but the 599 is an awesome car too.

There IS something magic about front engine / rear wheel drive cars. ... probably because they are better for drifting and other such hooliganism.
