The kind that would be interested in Dan's channel. The next video set is "anything that isn't a 458 and newer is a ****box and should be disregarded as ever being worthy of being called a ferrari" but with more cartoony arrows and stuff. sjd
I'm really curious about what @Fred Daniali says about people that own a Cali/Portofino/Roma. He said people that own those cars a certain type. I'm very curious about what that type is. We certainly all know what type of person would denigrate a fellow car/Ferrar enthusiast only by the car they own, afford or even simply prefer.
I'm not. I don't care what any of them have to say. I'm more concerned with the delusional nature of having to be "the greatest brand ambassador ferrari has ever had" sjd
Fixed it for you. "the greatest brand ambassador Ferrari* has ever had" *Except Mondial, California, California t, Portofino, Roma
458? wasn't that old technology? I remember Top gear lamenting who would want a 458 with the 488 out. I think 488 guys poke fun at 458 dinosaurs. Its like newer Vette guys.
Unless you bought the car YOU YOURSELF like, you bought the wrong car. And if you have a car channel, and don't like cars...but like clicks....well.. sjd
I'm not bagging on the car. If you like a Cali or Portofino, that's cool. I just think that those Cars are like a Ferrari lite.
Hmmmm, didn't realize Ferrari still made the Mondial, Cali/Cali T. Maybe you meant when new, I have a slot for an SF90 and you can get a F8, Lusso, or 812 today. So not sure what you mean they are easy to get new?
Ahh well your opinion Fred it is valued. It is a completely valid opion but it happens to be dubious. I wonder what makes them lite? No matter. You're entitled to it none the less, we all respect that! Not everyone is right because they have an opinion and in the end its OK the 458 will help you "compensate"... n your mind at least. Were cool with it, what ever you need man. Sent using FerrariChat.com mobile app
It's okay if you make fun of a particular Ferrari, heck, or any car. But you said @WATSON is probably one 'type' that owns a Mondial/Cali/Portofino. I appreciate the clarification you felt @WATSON and others that own said cars own "Ferrari-lites" - but why is a Portofino or California (especially the 't') version Ferrari lite? The Mondial has a gated shifter, no computer traction control to do the driving for you, the same exact engine as the 308/328/348, no turbos, still made by hand, and Conolly leather. It's a car that still demands the driver to actually.....drive (what a concept), and not rely on R2D2 to correct the driver's mistakes. Heck Enzo Ferrari and Leonardo Fioravanti (Pininfarina) both were both directly involved in the development, so what exactly is Ferrari lite about it? One can easily argue, it's closer to the namesake than any car being produced today. Maybe because it's not as fast as LaF? Neither is a 250, so does that mean all Enzo Era cars are also Ferrari lite? The Cali can easily run circles most Ferrari made, so it can't be the performance that makes them 'lite.' Just having a hard time understanding.
I could assure you, I am not an HVAC technician.... but thanks for investigating my background. Shows that you have a lot of interest in me. And for the record, I also own an F40....
You could walk in and buy an F8, Lusso, or 812 today? Like right on the spot? You must have one hell of a relationship with Ferrari.
Cool. Why don’t you have Dan to a maintenance video on your F40. Make sure to inc the chassis number. That’d get him a lot of views on YouTube, and it would prove to those of us who think you’re completely and totally full of **** that we’re all wrong.
Wow, you guys are right.... you found me out. I am a complete fraud! I own 2 Fiero based Ferrari kit cars. I live in a dumpy old house (which I rent) and I change filters in AC units for a living.
Have you tried connecting with some of the other F40 owners on FChat? Maybe you could get the orange "Owner" block added to your profile.
Yes, I can. The Lusso is easy as you know. The F8 and 812 was offered to me last Wednesday at SVF. My only financial relationship with them? ...they did a brake flush and oil change on my Mondial for a track event. I must be the 'type.' That said, still trying to wrap my head on what is 'Ferrari-lite'. The only thing I can think of is Ferrari that are more popular then others? Kind of like how the Dino was Ferrari super-lite...until it was not.
