Blue is novel for an interior. Reminds me of the 1950s. However, the blue needs to be put with some exterior color other than white to get some synergy and "wow" factor. Snowflake wheels are too one dimension.
museum delivery is great if you have never done it before .... I did it with my Zr1 about 10 years ago might do it again
I did it on my C7. If you've never been a factory before its interesting. I've been in too many.... Not sure it's worth a grand though.
well it is closer to cali so you don't have to drive from MD.. Perhaps there is no or less destination and shipping because it is basically right there. Destination/shipping is always $1000 so I would swap destination charge for the museum charge if I wasn't so lazy. If my C8 was ready right now I would do the museum now. If they are saying my C8 won't be in Cali until March I might want to go skiing or have race so I just can't commit to the museum
But, DC traffic sucks. TheMayor won't be able to relax in his new ride until he gets past Haymarket on I-66. Beltway drivers would just as soon run him off the road for sport.
Technically its in Maryland, about 45 minutes north. My plan is to fly to DC, walk around the city (I was there believe it or not as a teenager on vacation when Nixon resigned!) then pick up the car and head either north or south depending on the month. Ideally it would be northwest head to Indy (never been there), Dayton (the AF museum which I also saw as a kid) then west stopping at places along the way. But that's a long way off so no sense in really worrying about it.
Thinking of doing the same actually, do not have a deposit on one at this time. It would be tough to give up the Alfa as it is just so raw yet enjoyable. Look fwd to your feedback on the Vette
No one will ever build another car like the 4c ever again. Its the last of the true sports cars. But it's a lousy daily driver. I plan to use the C8 to pick a point on a map and just go there. Pop the top, have Waze tell me where to go, stream 80's music from Spotify, and put a Big Gulp of Diet Coke in the cupholder. The C8 does this better than the 4c.
Changed my mind- ceramic grey for me. TPW: 3/9 (I’m #1 at a small dealer, 20 total allocations, after being bumped up due to restrictions)
I decided to not be one of the first to own a C8. I just bought a 458 spider so I am good with mid engine cars for now. I will not pay sticker for the car and I think I will wait for the first model year to pass and see what comes next. They might raise the price a little but once dealers start discounting 12% or more that will make up for any price increases.
I'm waiting, too. I will almost certainly get one, but I'm going to exorcise what little self discipline I have and maybe buy used a year or two down the road.
I'm waiting also, but am seriously considering getting a C7 now for a couple years, then trade for a C8. There are some good deals on C7s now.
