Unfortunately I have been ruined by Patek. I don't think there is a better steel watch than the 5711/1a. I don't think there are better dress watches than Patek....annual calendar my preferred. I don't get the "wow factor" from a perpetual calendar that can go unadjusted for >123 years when I also know it will be adjusted dozens and dozens of times in that time period. So...for me...why look anywhere else? For rugged going to beach, whitewater rafting, boating, double as a dual-time, etc...Rolex steel sports watch (GMT, ExpII). Done
I'm a big AL&S fan, owning 3 of them, and was so looking forward to the arrival of the steel sports watch. This, however, is disappointing to me on many levels. It's generic looking, doesn't need a day display, the bracelet is overwrought, and the piece is quite honestly inconsistent with all other pieces in the AL&S design family. For now, at least, I'll stick with my PP, AP, and Rolex sport/tool watches. What a let down :-(
I agree, while the watch itself is not terrible, its not a Lange. I hate the bracelet, just doesn't work, maybe with rubber strap, maybe. Too generic for a Lange, wonder if the Richemont guys pushed for this? That said, I'd still like to see in person.
I’d like to see it in person. At first take, I’m not that excited. Plus, I don’t think it’s possible for me to pronounce the name properly. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yes you are correct. The new sport A is not that interesting to me. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Of all the watches I’ve bought and sold in the last few years I get easily the most wear from my presidential Rolex. I think it’s the cornerstone of a good collection.
That's great man, I love that watch also...............but like most Rolex watches they are way to small for my wrists.

This afternoon, on a train returning home after a 2-day meeting in the capital city. On my wrist a lesser known Omega Seamaster diver from the '70s. Apologies for the poor photo quality (shot with the company-issued miserable phone). Image Unavailable, Please Login
