I'm not sure about tonight. Last night was o.k. I'm craving what my Chinese SIL calls North Amercanized Chinese food. Might do that.

OK, I gotta ask, is Panda Express that great?
When our house was under renovation, we rented an apartment near a PE. Dang place was almost always packed at both lunch and dinner time.

Sous leftover homemade pizza last night.

The from freezer. Wave for 35 sec. Put on a blistering hot comal for about 45 sec to crisp the crust. Hot sauce. Yumbo.

This wine. Despite its 3.5 start rating, the missus and I thought it was excellent.

Had to pick my truck up at the dealer. Had my dad give me a ride. So I took him out. Since it was around 4pm, I'll call it a late lunch early dinner. He wanted the Thai place, we did that. Spring rolls and beef salad. I'll give it an 8 out of 10.

Haven't eaten much lately. Had a terrible lunch yesterday (albeit free), wasnt hungry for dinner so I ate watermelon. Didn't eat lunch until 230 today. Just had chickfila nuggets. And two small chicken tacos for dinner which I wasn't really feeling.

    We made one of go-to dishes that frequent posters here will recognize;

Risotto with mint, peas and lemon. Topped with lemon shrimp. This dish is perhaps the closest to restaurant quality we can muster. I love this dish!

I miss risotto. I haven’t eaten it since I got the big DM diagnosis. Used to make it all the time- saffron, porcini, shrimp (with my own fume), tomato, etc. Not just Arborio, used Carnaroli and especially Vialone from our hometown of Verona.

I'm heading to central Washington State this afternoon. They have a Chick-Fil-A off the I-5 in Bothell, WA. Its only a little off my route, so I plan on trying it.

    LOL.
I just checked out their on-line nutrition info, and as my former secretary used to say - you ain't whistling Dixie out your butt!
Holy schnikes! Some of these things have 1/4 - 1/2 of the recommended daily amount.

    https://s3.amazonaws.com/PandaExpressWebsite/files/pdf/Nutrition.pdf

    For context, per FDA.gov...
Americans eat on average about 3,400 mg of sodium per day. However, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends limiting sodium intake to less than 2,300 mg per day—that's equal to about 1 teaspoon of salt!

Oh yeah, that's the good stuff! I need to develop my Zen side a bit more. I just don't have the patience for risotto, and the few times I have tried to make it, the results were less than exemplary...T

Y'all need some chicken soup. That's what I go for when I need to get myself right. Water, onion, garlic, a little parsely, S & P, celery (if you wish), dunk in two drummies, boil. Add a little rice toward end of simmering. It'll cure whatever ails ya...T

LOL. I do love some soup.

It's still mainly allergies. All that drainage make my stomach uneasy. I don't normally take Claritin, but I've taken it more the past week than all year. It just opens the flood gates. I also haven't been working out regularly. My appetite always drops when I get off my routine.

Ah, that makes sense & alleviates some genuine concern. Does Benadryl or somesuch help or hinder?

Thanks for the concern wax. I appreciate that.

I can't do Benadryl or anything that makes me sleepy. I'm a zombie for days after it. I wasn't so sensitive to various stimulants as a kid. But once I hit my late 20's I started noticing it.

Yeah, I know. I was thinking reverse sear, but I got lazy. I'm trying to redeem myself tonight with brisket. Oak smoked. Made it a month or so ago. Need to reheat and rehydrate.

Grilled pork chops, baby bok choy and a belgian endive/radicchio salad.

My wife is cooking for the 7 dogs. They get rice with calves liver and beef bones/ribs every night.
