Best race of the season. Most sorry for Leclerc
I’m certain they meant between turns 1-3, not where everyone was spinning off track. He may be joining Gasly soon....had a big opportunity and crashed out. Blaming the team for telling him to pass STROLL is probably not a good idea.
He has to capitalize on these situations when Hamilton has the rare off day. And he was in a position to put his team at least on the podium. I see a nice future ahead for him a Hass.
I should have taken my bike and the rain gear and cycle to the ring.. Will there be a race next year? Or will they prefer Baku, Singapor, Bahrain, Aserbeidjan and the like known for their car industry?
Chaotic race, not representative of the product, but life is always a bit less gray when Mercedes doesn´t do a 1-2, like it looked to be after the first few laps. We´ve had three good races in a row, something quite uncommon these days. I suppose that Hungaroring will be a bore just to curb our enthusiasm. Vettel was COLD on the rain. I´ve heard he had some turbo problems and the pit strategy was not optimal. Later, on the dry and with most of the good cars out, recovering to 2nd was not a miracle but the result was well needed after so much pain. Pity about Leclerc. Positive side, he screamed in anger instead of crying. That´s the spirit!!
How is that your takeaway from the weekend when Hamilton failed to score a single point? All the best, Andrew.
You know that Hungary is a tight, hot circuit. That favors Ferrari and Red Bull (similar to the Red Bull Ring). I expect things to tighten a little more going into the summer break.
Elton showing his emotional fragility and his refusal of accountability. He wrecks and then asks the team why it’s all gone wrong. He’s living in a house of cards. It won’t be there forever.
How many cars do they need to disqualify to get a point for Lewis? Gesendet von meinem SM-G930F mit Tapatalk
So because his teammate in the other dominant car crashes out and also scores no points, Hamilton is inching towards another title? In my view, Hamilton didn't do anything to further his title chances today - he just lucked out that his teammate failed to capitalize on what was a rare dismal performance from the reigning world champion. All the best, Andrew.
Race winner today was ..... the barrier. Ferrari picked the worst possible time to put Leclerc on slicks -- just as the rain was starting again. They pitted him because they had a window, but they didn't rethink what tire to use. The fall-out from that was that Ferrari realized they had to get Seb OFF the slicks. In the post-race interview, it was like Vettel had no idea how he managed 2nd. Not surprising, considering he spent the first half of the race unable to get around Kimi. Ham may have had a lousy finish, but he lucked out, having only brushed the barrier that collected so many other cars.
A double podium for Honda, disaster for Mercedes. A bit of retribution for Seb and a near miracle for Stroll. I haven't enjoyed an F1 race this much in a long time!
“The race start data of car numbers 07 and 99 were checked,” noted FIA FOrmula 1 technical delegate Jo bauer. “These were found not being in compliance with Article 27.1 of the 2019 Formula One Sporting Regulations and Article 9 of the 2019 Formula One Technical Regulations. “I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration.” https://www.racefans.net/2019/07/28/alfa-romeo-under-investigation-over-race-start-data/
