Update photo for Site I (LSE) | 875 FT | 80 FLOORS from the meeting yesterday. This is a cluster of 3 towers(lower left) with 2 shorter towers around 600 feet and the one site I building on the end at between 875 and 950 feet. The Vista under construction now is the tall building on the right. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting. I was always thinking that the empty corner place would be prime location for something spectacular. Bummer for those living in the towers behind it. Their views of the lakeshore will be gone. Also interesting to see the plants on this rendering of the end part of the upper Wacker drive. Currently nothing but an ugly concrete dead-end. It would deserve something nicer.
Rather boring new office tower (left)that looks a lot like 110 N Wacker also under construction at 770 FT several blocks away(right). Union Station Office Tower | 715 FT | ~50 FLOORS Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm always wondering what'll happen with the two empty lots on Franklin street? Prime real estate space in the financial district yet nothing going on for years.
More photos of 1000M on Michigan Avenue, 832 feet 76 floors. They have already topped out 2 of the new towers in photo 1. 1000 is the middle tower in photo 1. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Two more proposals this week coming to light. 353 West Grand Ave OMNI plan and 210 N Stetson a 930ft residential tower designed by SCB on the old Mandarin site(second photo). New SCB design not yet shown. https://coleccionescheveres.blogspot.com/2018/09/americancars-124-fr.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is the old design. Kind of dated now. A nice rendering of the Chicago River entrance in 2022. Should be great. I think the LSE Site I and the Spire site at 400 Lake Shore Drive(Related) will happen but the Tribune Tower addition is still up in the air. Here is the same artists (rgarri4)Tribune Tower rendering. He has a Chicago digital rendering with all the new projects included. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Isn't that ironic. BTW: I love French ebay. They have lots of other stuff on there which you can't find anywhere else.
Started yesterday. Kind of cool but could use a better soundtrack. Maybe they could have a live band play on the Riverwalk to the lightshow.

Another rendering by the same person with One Chicago Square in the middle. OCS is two buildings, one 1046ft and one 700ft and should change the balance of the skyline to the north. This is looking towards the east. This project has financing and will start construction in January 2019. Also photo of Chicago from the southeast taken on September 30th showing 4 of the buildings currently under construction that are visible from that view. Wanda Vista today. They are putting green and blue tinted glass in several floors a week now so this view will be gone very soon. It's just over 1000 feet now. https://public.earthcam.net/vistatower#/Vista%20Tower/Lake%20Point%20Tower%20View/View%201 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is a wider view. This is a new webcam for Vista. The view will change a lot in the center by the mouth of the river over the next 3-4 years as they add the planned new buildings. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Wolf Point South final design. As some have already noted it looks like a modern 30 Rockefeller Plaza, so not very original. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This 747 pictured at ORD last August crashed yesterday in Halifax and is a W/O. Sorry, back to Skyscrapers. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 747 over shot the runway on landing at the Halifax fuel stop. Happened to post a photo of it at ORD when photographing the Chicago skyline a few months ago.
