I'm heading over too Eastern Washington State this afternoon. I might stop at the Indian casino buffet or might go further and hit a country diner. They make awesome in house pies.

I think the sear marks are at 90 +/- 0.01 degrees. Love the attention to detail!

I decided to stay home. It was raining and that makes for a lousy drive in the mountains in the dark. I got some hamburger and made soft tacos. Felt like Mexican and didn't want to do taco bell...…………….. I'm 50/50 on going tonight. But season premiere of Big Bang Theory and series premiere of the Magnum PI reboot is tonight and don't want to miss them.

I did left over beef tacos last night. I'm 50/50 on going to Eastern Washington. If I stay, its cheap hamburger night at Triple O's. So I'll grab a cheeseburger and onion rings.

Try the old school hard tacos next time. They're good!

Those look good. Rendezvous in Memphis was famous for their dry rub. I pref'd Corky's as they would do half-half (half wet rub/half dry rub), so no painful decisions. :)
Also, I never got the grumpy waiter schtick @ Rendezvous. I didn't move from NYC to the South to have to put up with attitude. :p

He started off in a 488 that got wrecked. Replaced it with a 308 until wrecked. Ended as a passenger in a Cali. Not worth staying to see.

Decided to stay home, so cheeseburgers it is!

It's a several day process, but I just put up pomodoro verdi sott'olio. My 98 year old aunt made this until a year or two ago (not because of age, but she found it hard to find enough green tomatoes!), and she learned it from her mother, who lived to 99! Anyway, this is terrific with antipasti, on a sandwich (maybe some fine mortadella and fresh mozzarella?), and it keeps for a long time in the fridge. https://carlaazevedocooking.wordpress.com/2016/11/25/italys-secret-condiment-pickled-green-tomatoes/

I've seen this before, in stores, but never seen it made before. I may have to try this aa we often get a lot of green tomatoes that never ripen @ the end of the tomato-growing season. Very cool...T

I feel like pizza. So getting a small beef taco one. Or might give a calzone at Pizza Hut another try. If they'll add pizza sauce inside. They didn't have sauce the last time and it was too dry.

Max...How does your place do their beef taco pizza? Mozz or some sort of a Mexican cheese blend? The wife bought the latter, which is a blend of cheddar, Monterey jack and something else. And, I'm trying to think of ways to use it, and so your post got me thinking of beef taco pizza...T

Their description says: "Fresh salsa, ground beef, red onions, mozzarella, sour cream, lettuce, fresh tomatoes + cheddar."

I just hit Dairy Queen. Had their $7 meal combo; bacon cheeseburger, fries (I upgraded to onion rings) and a small sundae. It hit 75 and was sunny today. Supposed to rain tomorrow and Sunday, so decided to take advantage of probably the last of ice cream weather here.

Hmm. Cheddar plus mozz. That could work!

Tonight, it's chicken and rice. Dog has not been hungry today, which always gets me worried. So, I whipped up a big batch of her favorite, boiled chicken boobs. Then I use the "chicken water" to make rice. That did the trick! I made some extra for us. Some tikka sauce to spice it up...T
