Agreed, maybe call it The Orient? Or, is The Asian Persuasion acceptable? http://www.nielsen.com/us/en/insights/news/2008/asian-persuasion-a-rapidly-growing-influence-in-the-u-s.html Anyway, The Hyundai Genisis Coupe is an awesome platform (front engine/rear-wheel drive). Since we're starting some show and tell here, this is my 2004 S-2000 with OEM body spoilers at a car show (blurred background) a few years ago. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rob Lay. As mentioned, can't say never but that book was closed a few years ago. I argued for having a separate section but it was determined "general" area was best. Since we're posting pics, here is my last Z, sold about 10 years ago - I miss it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd be all in favor of an Asian or Japanese section. One of the best cars I ever owned was a 1980 Mazda RX7. As to amount of traffic? Why in the HELL do we have a McLaren subforum, if it only has 128 threads. Bugatti? VERY cool cars, but still only 560 threads. Even "American Muscle" - only 2420 threads. I'd bet an Asian section would eclipse those numbers combined within 6 months!
Suh-weet. I see from time to time a gent around here when I'm driving, who is in a red Z that looks to be of similar vintage to yours. As I was tooling around in the Cali this morning, saw a really mint looking first-gen NSX in red heading the other way on the interstate. Looked kinda like this...T

Im bidding on this '72 skyline right now, not sure whats a good price, but would love to have it, what would you say is a fair price for this, I cant find any comps but I love love love this car. What do you guys think is a fair price? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-nissan-skyline-c10/
I think a lot of us probably have/have had Japanese cars. If there was a place to discuss only that, I can't imagine it wouldn't have more posts. It's something I would check but I rarely check General because it's a catch all. I have a GT-R with Stage 2 Jotech mods. Pushing 807 hp. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also have a Sequoia with a supercharger. 550 hp. My husband and I do not like slow. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
that Sequoia is impressive. its a Japanese AMG Wagon....lol whom did the modification to the engine Jana? someone in Texas or Florida?
its an impressive car. lots of nice mods done to her. If I had not peeked at BAT to see where the bid was, I would have guessed mid $30's (obviously wrong...), but with 4 hours or so to go, I suspect it will go past $60k. I doubt you will ever loose money on this, so if you get it, enjoy this sweet ride,
The equipment is from Magnuson. A dealership in Myrtle Beach, SC did the work. They are authorized to do it without voiding your warranty. https://www.sparkstoyota.com
did you get the Skyline? Sold for $87,000....impressive number and an expression on how strong the Japanese car market is. Keith Martin saw it coming.

As an owner of Japanese cars before it was truly mainstream, I called this 20 years ago, at least with the S30 Datsuns and JDM Skylines / Hakosukas.
There once was a Japanese Car sub-forum, moderated by Wayne, but it was shouted down by some of the more traditionalist factions as being an improper addition to Ferrarichat. Thanks to that experience, I highly doubt it will resurface.
Some really nice Japanese cars out there. Past and present. I’ve had a bunch of them! A sub-forum would be good to have.
