1983 Detomaso Pantera GT5!! Rare 1 of about 200 cars built! Red on cream, 55325 kms all original documented mileage. Original engine, transmission, rims, interior, steering wheel. Car is 100% original except for the exhaust, but I do have the original exhaust which is included in the sale. Also included in the sale are new Pirelli 345 rear tires. The car came without the factory rear delta wing, I added it on after I purchased it. Engine was freshly rebuilt 2 years ago, and has only 1500kms on it since. Everything works on the car except the AC (needs recharge). I have the Certificato Di Garanzia, all books, tools and spare tire! It’s a 3-owner car. I have owned the car for the last 12 years and the previous owner had it for 19 years. I have full documentation and service records. The car has spent its whole life in Ontario, Canada, and was originally imported brand new in March 1983 by Rivera Motors LTD. No stories with this car, own a rare piece of automotive history! These cars are pure monster super cars. That V8 is so close to your head, a passenger can reach back and work the throttle. They are full on, 100%, rock 'n' roll.
i have noticed that there are tons of fake bidders on cars that have met reserve. not sure what the game is... I AM NOT SAYING YOU HAVE SHILL BIDDERS ON YOUR CAR my kid sells crap in the basement for fortnite money - most everything needs to be relisted for non paying winners
ebay is becoming the place for saturday night wannabee drunks. They should clean up their act and find a way to lock out deadbeat from the plateform for good and for life after a shill bid or find a way to fine them
Too bad about the Pantera deal not getting done. I agree with Countachqv. It seems that eBay is best used as a tool just to get the word out, rather than to expect a solid buyer/bidder through the eBay process. There are too many flakey bidders out there these days and the seller has no way of controlling who bids other than blocking low rated bidders. That is a clumsy process. On the other hand, Bring A Trailer has a much better way of making bidders accountable to some extent. The curse of BAT is that the car becomes a virtual piñata vulnerable to comments posted by people with very little knowledge. Most 308 ads there often become discussions of timing belts as if the car has leprosy. My favorite eBay experience was selling a Mercedes gullwing in need of some restoration to a wonderful guy from Alaska, who at the time was a zero rated bidder. He showed up in a few days with certified funds, was a pleasure to host in our town, and sent us fresh salmon later! That doesn’t happen often. And my second favorite was selling my 308 earlier this year to a neighbor who saw my ad on eBay. He was literally two miles away and but for the eBay ad he wouldn’t have known it was for sale, and I wouldn’t have known he was interested. So none of it is perfect, though the FChat classifieds are pretty doggone good and the cost of it is right!
Yeah eBay use to be a good place but I guess it gone downhill. The only reason I still use it is for the global market reach. I am considering posting it on BAT. I think I will need to hire an assistant to reply to all of the comments from users haha.
Relisted the car on eBay without a reserve price, starting at 117,500USD! https://www.ebay.com/itm/123469213988
Don't want to be negative but this car is not 100% original. The engine has been hot rodded a lot. These cars had closed air cleaner and an egr valve.
Can this be returned to stock? Owner have the original parts? Has the engine also been modified? Cylinders etc? Gorgeous car!! I would consider for 100K
