does its AWD system really work? Looking to replace my bmw with it and it must be able to be driven with snow. Not deep but I need it to be able to handle may 2-5" of snow.

Shouldn't be a problem. Front wheels are engaged from gear 1-4. Above that and it becomes RWD. If the car has a lifter, the clearance will be even better until it exceeds a certain speed.

Yes, it handles snow fine - going up is easy. On the way down the wide Tyres and weight Are not perfect (but that is the same for a big BMW as well I guess)

Ground clearance is the only minor issue, sometimes I am the one ploughing our street in the morning. So far no problems though

Will be fine if the paint is intact...but who knows for sure, right?! Definitely need a rinse after salt exposure.

If an aftermarket company can come up with a lightweight snow plow that one can use during the winter months, it would be perfect.

I've used and loved Blizzaks for many years and cars, but they didn't make a proper size for my last Porsche and had to use Pirellis. I wasn't impressed. I want winter tires on my cars and am starting to look for an FF to stable with my spider which really doesn't go out to play as much in winter. Did you get a package from tire rack, and what was it?
