Where did this screw come from?

    This morning just leaving the driveway I heard what sounded like a spring unloading tension. Not a strong spring like the suspension. It sounded like the noise came from the e-brake area. Perhaps unrelated, I saw the screw below sitting on the leather pad below the e-brake. It has an allen head or hex-key top. Ideas?

    nope. she had her nose painted & the alternator rebuilt.

    Probably in the pocket of a mechanic who worked on the car in the past. When my mechanic did my engine out he changed them and re-painted the valve covers which made the motor look nice and pretty :)

    Next motor out major, I'll have the valve covers repainted too. The paint is starting to flake
