It is heavily optioned including PCCBs and a manual 6 speed; and Arena Red is a special order color. Drives like a dream, very different experience to Ferrari. May be one of last NA manual sports cars as they appear to be a dying breed. Kudos to Porsche for building this! Still doing the ridiculous Porsche break-in, <4000rpm for first 2000 miles, but can already tell what a screamer this engine is. My friend has the silver GT3 (and 6 Ferrari's!).
That is a really gorgeous car. The color combo (red & silver rims) is beautiful , clean. Did you spec , how long did you have to wait? congrats
Thanks guys! 911 miles in 1 week..try that with a Ferrari. lol I put a deposit down 2 years ago and waited. It is a “forever” car so specc’d it for years of fun. Leather, white stitching, CF, manual, etc. Love the way it drives, sooo much fun.
Congrats, love the Arena Red, yea I hear you on the 2000mi brake in, it's really difficult and tempting with a stick.
IMHO, Arena Red is one of the best colors Porsche has. I had an AR 996 back when it was an optional color, not special order.
I really want to grab one of these but man they are all sold out around here! If given the option for a GT3Rs should I jump on that? I love manual but at the end of the day my left knee is just not as good as it use to be (ACL).
I think the GT3(RS) is the best sports car, and good value, if you can get it at MSRP. However, I think allocations for the RS are even more limited. No chance of getting one if you haven't gotten one already.
All broken in, now at 2100 miles (in ~ 3 weeks I might add)! It truly is a lot of fun to drive, and the sound is intoxicating at the upper reaches of the tach..just incredible...different but no less enjoyable than Ferrari.
