I've decided Im going to wait until she arrives and then will post lots- the render photos won't do the colour and details justice and I'm so proud and happy how she looks I want to make sure it comes across fully ....;-)
There was no discussion of an aperta while I was there but my opinion is there is bound to be one.....
don't know if this pic has been posted but here it is out in the "wild" and looking even more stunning Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Jag, your enthusiasm fascinates me and makes my wait even more exciting. I can not yet configure my Pista. I hope I do not have to separate from my 458 Speciale to have that one, when the time comes I will decide my bank account.... A presto, Giovanni.
Hi !! The speciale is wonderful but the pista looks awesome !! I hope you get to keep both !!!!!! Ciao

My spec is done! - Bianco Avus as my 458 Speciale. - Full alcantara inside with yellow accents, 4-point harnesses and matt carbon fiber. - Full carbon fiber outside. The engine bay (BONC) wasn't in the ordering system yet. - No entertainment, navigation or other distractions ;-) Let the wait begin! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations! Did you request the black lip just before the windshield on the hood to be painted in Bianco as well? I've been wondering if this could be done in CF, though I also wonder if glossy might create reflections.
As much as this looks great, all that electronics will deter me. What happened to manuals? Honestly its an impressive car but i rather have a 430 manual or a f40 to feel like im actually FULLY driving this thing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What a gorgeous car. I don't think it is possible to pick a "bad" color. Congratulations to all who have one on the way.
IMHO, Ferrari's electronics don't deter the fun, at all. Also because you can completely disengage them. And getting the 100% pure engagement with the car in return, if you so desire and dare. What happened to the manuals? That's a rhetorical question, in the strive for performance, they've disappeared in almost all super-cars. Luckily, I've got 6 manuals (2 BMWs (1M and E39 M5), 2 MINIs (GP Mk1 and Mk2), 1 Ford (Focus RS Mk1) and 1 Renault (Megane R.26.R)) in my fun fleet to make up for it! I will personally keep the manual alive as long as I can! And sure, whilst I like the 488 Pista's looks and am confident it'll be amazing to drive, I'd prefer an F40 too. Slightly different price-tag these days though! ;-)
Well actually even when u turn it all off u still have some gizmos running in the background. Makes me miss my tr already Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm not sure if you can. I'm just wondering if its possible. It might be worth asking about. I will certainly be asking when its my turn. As to the manual question: well, have a look at all the super car makers- none of the supercars have a manual. That's not a coincidence. If you want a manual raw sports car there are several new options you can buy right now- such as Lotus, etc. However, these cars are not in the supercar leagues for one reason or another. They are great cars, just a different proposition. Or you can get a pre-owned car. You could always acquire another TR. I think Ferrari has been brilliant in how they use the electronics. They bring the experience of being on a track closer to you on the street and also while maintaining your safety. Try 5,6,700 hp in a street car without such systems. Its frustrating. Ferrari has a magic formula for this stuff. I think it just makes the cars different from those of the past. I enjoy both very much, but the modern cars are more relevant to modern life, as they should be.
