McLaren 720S - 2017

really, that cracks you up? What cracks me up is you thinking media will give unbiased reports on 720 without any hidden and not so hidden agenda and you will then base the merits of the car on that. Puhleez

 

I'd like to see a McLaren dealer in Vegas. That's all from me.

If that is true that is mind blowing. That's the same time as Regera 0 - 250mph and a car in the zenith level of performance.

All these talks about track times yet Ferrari won't allow owners of any of the LE models to document any track times publicly... I'll just leave it at that

And since when did supercars become all about track times? If so then you should buying a GTR because it's one of the best at shredding lap times at a very affordable budget

And no one has driven the 812 superfast here nor have there been any 'professional drivers driving it' or 'lap records' yet there is a whole thread for the car even though its all just 'opinions based on pictures'.
Why? It's the whole point of this forum, for people to share their thoughts and opinions and excitement on the specific car and exchange any information that the public don't know about yet.

Also, Ferrari and McLaren don't aggressively advertise laptimes or lap reords for the mass produced models because they save those for their LE track focused models, just basic understanding of advertising, anyways I digress...

Like I said, the car is color sensitive but specced correctly it can be exemplary as shown

And I've been told that the Spider will be a ways away from debuting so if you're betting on that be prepared to wait and pay MSRP

Color is MSO Memphis Red if I recall correctly, slightly similar to Rosso Coburn

Make the wheels black for me but that is beautiful. I wish the cabin didn't seem to bubble out so much from the car itself. I guess that was the compromise to make ingress and egress easier.

 

Tons of 'preview' videos from Geneva out now on YouTube. Some very interesting information on the car. Very tempting.

 

That color looks much better. Car actually looks good there. the ugly orange that they used for the launch car is not to my taste but this red is much much better.

 

That 'ugly' orange Azores (if like Volcano) looks stunning in the sun absolutely stunning.

I'm not a orange car kinda guy, but the flake in that paint is so nice.

Bud has 570s with it and it's amazing color.

 

It might look spectacular in the sun. Im just commenting on what I see on line. I was playing with the configurator and this car is very dependent on the color you choose. obviously personal preference.

Im looking forward to seeing it in the flesh- right now- I'm so so on the looks of the car based on the images.

The front end is the issue. Everything else is great.

 

Agree. That is why the launch cars are VERY limited in choices and won't be until Q4 of this year before client spec cars will start to arrive. L O N G wait, but probably worth it to have exact specs and let some of the bugs be worked out.

 

Im in zero rush to get one. Thought I would be more excited than I am. But again- reserving full judgement till I see it in the flesh.

 

Buying super cars used is the way to go.

 

Front end looks much better IMO when the eye socket and vent in front of tire are same as body color....like in the rendering.

Yes its easier to vet used to new style when implemented in smaller steps. I remember how shocking the big audi grills looked 10 yrs ago. Now every car has them. 720 will prove to classic just like 458 will

 

Couple more newer pics, also I forgot to mention that this particular cars paint fades into a red tint of carbon fibre towards the front... very intricate....

And I completely agree with the comment that the 'Azores' color didn't flatter the 720s that much even though I love brash colors, the (Silica i think...?) white made the 720s look so much more beautiful
