I might be selling my 348 tb with 39k km 25kmiles. It's a canadian built so no mousetracks and is in original condition including paint. 30K was just performed in with brand new waterpump(ferrari) left side rad replaced, all hoses replaced with silicon, front seals, valve adjustment belts etc.
I'm looking to get something else but will see if I can let this one go and then can decide what to get.
Just seeing if anyone here looking before I place elsewhere for sale

Beautiful car! I sold my 348 last year after 9 years of ownership and I bought a Maserati GTS! While I miss the 348, I can drive my GTS everyday,,

It will cost a US buyer $15K to bring it in due to FNA (letter), DOT (speedo), IRS(gas guzzler tax), sales tax in both Ontario and US, and CBP (2.5%). This does not include freight or broker's fees. If you hold off until it's fully 25 years old it might cost a little less (no DOT and no FNA letter). But frankly the US has plenty of good 348s for sale so unless the car was originally sold in the USA (taxes already paid), it is not going to fetch a strong price here. And final note, you need to make up your mind and either put it in classified section or not. Moderator's won't allow these "thinking of selling" posts.

Wrong you would not pay ontario sales tax if the car is heading to the U.S.

Thanks for the clarification on paying Ontario taxes on a car being brought into the USA, as I never heard of that before..

I'm not sure about those taxes being paid in the USA but it's different if we bring a car into the Canada and I know it depends on age.
Just FYI I placed my car in the classified section.....Cheers

Thanks but I never heard about paying the Ontario taxes on a car brought into the USA but not sure about the laws in the States. By the way the car is 25 years old.

I wanted to come back to this post above because it contains some inaccuracies. Since the car is 25 years old for sure now, there is no FNA letter, no DOT issues, no IRS issues.... there wouldn't have been Ontario sales tax anyway as the buyer is out of country. Freight, well you could drive it over the border if you were so inclined...

Really the only thing you need is the 2.5% duty coming into the US and some paperwork. It will not cost $15k to bring the car into the US. This is all of course not counting the sales tax and registration in your particular state, which you would pay anyway, even if the car was local.

I imported my F355 from Canada 2 years ago.

Cost was 2.5% tax, broker/customs fees and transport.

No speedo change, no gas guzzler tax, no Canadian tax. FNA letter was free (but they may charge for it now).

So a few thousand yes. 15 thousand, no.

Don't even need the letter anymore since this car is over 25 years old.
