Does anyone have any idea how easy it is to make a 430 challenge car road legal in the uk? Or if it's even possible?

Non road-legal VIN = not possible.

And even if you Jerry-mandered your way around that if you ever were in a serious accident / legal situation you'd be uber-****ed in the ass.

Thanks guys. Was hoping it was just a case of putting a scud exhaust on it for the sake of emissions.

In the old days a speedo and a handbrake would be enough to get it registered -I think no its more difficult with SVA tests type approvals & conformity certificates - you might want to talk to QV - there's a few threads in the Challenge section about road 360s - maybe I missed any about 430

I'm aware of only one road going 430CH in Europe - it has been for sale at Koch Klassik in Germany in the beginning of this year - maybe Koch can tell you what has been modified and where it has been registered first.

    There are a few 360CH on the road ( http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/challenge-gt-cars/517386-road-legal-360-challenge.html ).

I think this must be false right? Do kit cars have a VIN? Don't different states (or countries!) have different rules?

Surely there must be a way--perhaps expensive--but a way. I am sure there are states where it is easier than others.

    EDIT:
I wonder if one route is to register it as a custom build car. Obviously the rules will be "state by state" and you will probably have to be creative.
