Folks, This thread is becoming really depressing .... Can we get back to the subject of the car and the passion that it unleashes rather than constant "economic" arguments that are of - really - no interest. There will always be those who do not get what they want. That is the rule of life and is also what makes this or any other limited edition so special. This is about celebrating 70 years of passion. Let us rejoice in that unique and fantastic achievement.
Whilst I agree, and am not particularly into the dollars and cents, I think the question of the production run and allocation is an interesting and pertinent discussion. I was never ever going to be offered one so I have no skin in the game, I am just questioning these issues as I find them interesting.
This. Does it matter that some cultures are more vocal about a perceived snub than another? No! We're all here because of a common love of automobiles. Some may like Ferrari's more than others but that has nothing to do with country/continent/culture of origin.
I have no confirmation but am positive this is the car for the 70th and that they will all be delivered in 2017 so as to be present at whatever celebration is planned.
I concur. As of right now, it seems completely plausible that the LaFe Spider is the 70th anniversary car. And guess what? Given the current crazy model naming policies at Maranello, it would be perfectly possible and highly probable that they name this car Ferrari F70. Eat this!
I have seen the removable roof with my own Eyes and was told that it wouldn't fit in the car, sorry if i spread some misinformation regarding this.
Fair enough and I apologise for suggesting it wasn't fact as clearly, given your excellent vantage point, it appeared to be.
People are throwing their toys out of their prams like you would not believe.... Imagine how incensed YOU would be if you were not getting one.
