Sample on car, so far so good. But I really need to see how they do in zero weather before I sell them. They are $200 a pair. I can run the lot now if you must have.

Did anyone receive the 3D file from Dave?
A friend of mine contacted me to also make these clips.

I'm able to scan them at work and 3D print these myself. Having a file would only save me some time :)

    thanks!

Dave is probably not on the Forum any longer as I bought his 400. He gave me every spare part, brochures, manuals, and much more, but I do not have an STL file from him.

    Hello Simon,

I still need to receive the sample part to take my measurements on the CMM at work.

I'll send you a PM once finalized.

    D,
What polymer are you using. Be sure it does not "relax" at elevated temperatures; car parked in sun can reach about 90C. I bought an set on this forum a few years ago and after a day in sun, the clip[ no longer gripped the visor. Glass filled polymer, nylon or PP, may be good options. Without the glass fill it will distort over time.

I plan to offer these for 30€ a set, available in an off-white and satin black

These are printed out of ABS material, should hold up fine, I've made fuel lines clips and more in this material.
As well as in the engine bay of my classic too, so far it's held up great.

    Thank you!

Please contact me via PM if you are interested in purchasing a set, so we can work out shipping.

When I did mine I tried various materials including ABS (ABS was worse than tempered PLA) none of which stood up to the central Australia sun except nylon which was a lot harder to print with using my cheap printer. I had to change the way I printed them to use nylon and ended up stacking them and then cutting between each one, The nylon ones I made are not as pretty as the ones made from other materials but have survived many years in a harsh environment. They are printed in raw nylon which I've read can be dyed to change its colour but I have not tried this.

    Cheers,
    Al

They look identical to clips in my 365 GTC4. GT Car Parts in Phoenix has a box of them, 3D printed as described above. I bought 2 and replaced one after painting it a light beige color to match the original. I have pictures, but not with me as I am on a road trip in my RV.

ABS should be okay unless parked in Arizona. ABS has very good dimension stability.

Okay I printed a couple of sets in the final white ABS filament.
It's a little bit lighter than the original color but still more beige/off white than pure white :)

Selling these for 30€/set of two.
Worldwide shipping is 10€ - bubble enveloppe without tracking

Send me a PM when you are interested in purchasing a set.

    Thanks!
