Obviously, it's not for me, as I went in a 180 direction. But, for those that like it, why would I care? Cheers, Hank Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like what you have done Hank, strongly thinking to do my 3.2 like this one but there's something to say about keeping it original - my Nardi . cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login
This wouldn't be yours would it ? The 308 does look nicer in that color scheme than a Mondial boxer. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Agreed. The belt line on the 308 is lower than that on the Mondial, and the dominant red "highlights" the black. On the Mondi, with the belt line much higher, the black becomes dominant and as such (IMHO), overpowers the red. Cheers, Hank
Hey Mikey, The Mondial in your picture is much lower than stock. To my eye, this negates to visual effect of the lower body color paint. I see it as too lumbering (fat). Also, forget about getting it in the driveway! But, if I were to lower, I wouldn't paint the bottom valance, side skirt or rear grill. With a stock body height, I feel that the full body color "gives the appearance" of being lower, all without the hassles of a lowered Mondial. Cheers, Hankster
Your analysis is spot on Hank, I didn't realize that 3.2 was lowered, it would never clear a speed bump nor my incline driveway. Btw, the 360 Boxer looks even worst than the Mondial. Totally out of place. Did anyone notice that silver Mondi in the first pic is actually a T, I thought it was a QV coupe with those black front bumpers ! Speaking of Boxers, I didn't know they made an updated version, a Targa, and a Spider ? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hank, your Mondial is very nice. Such an underrated design. Completely red, like yours ( except for the side mirrors ) it shows how modern, racy and elegant the Mondial look is. A pure Ferrari.

I dunno, on one hand it is just paint (or foil?) and I always try to understand, even embrace, alterations. On the other it just made me think that the blackened out lower portion on the Boxer does not really work for me and imagined how I would react to it if the Boxer had always been single tone. I am pretty sure part of accepting it is how long you have seen the car like that...magazines, model cars, in reality etc...and you are just accustomed to the look, cheers braq
What is this a Jr. Whopper Ferrari? Article ---> (Targalicious Ferrari Sergio Delivered to First Customer in Abu Dhabi) Ferrari Sergio3_4antSX All Ferraris are special, but some are special-er than others. Making its first public appearance at the Ferrari World Challenge in Abu Dhabi is one such extraspecial cavallino: the first of six Ferrari Sergios to be built from the proverbial rib of the spearlike, windshield-less Ferrari Sergio concept car that was first shown in 2013 at the Geneva auto show. Sharing its underpinnings with the 458 Spider, the Sergio was so named to honor the late Sergio Pininfarina, with whom Enzo Ferrari established one of the most successful design partnerships in automotive history. The addition of a full windshield renders the Sergio a targa, but the pointy nose, semifloating chin splitter, horizontal headlamp graphic, and jarring black body-side swoosh have translated nicely into production form. Like other 458 models, the Sergio’s sculpted rear end is dominated by twin round taillamps and a vaned diffuser, while diamond-turned wheels with gold-painted insets are stuffed into the wheel wells.
