Anyone know if someone is going to release models of the recent one off Ferrari's like the F12 TRS?

I know BBR and Look Smart are making the F60 America.

Lets all put some pressure on BBR and LookSmart! BBR have done Hiramatsu's SP1, the SP12EC and the P540 Superfast but what about the other SPs, the Sergio and, as you say, the TRS? These probably won't sell in big volumes but would surely be worth a slight premium to enthusiasts.

Yeah, maybe we can all contact BBR or LookSmart or MR Collection and ask them to make the F12 TRS.

Actually, I think the F12 TRS would sell well, it's a very pretty car.

On a separate note, do the major brands not make 1:43 kits anymore? Just a few years ago every release of a 1:43 would be in kit form and in built form but it seems kits are no longer made. What's up with that?

Fernando Pinto says he will do a few kits in 1/12th scale. People on this site should like one of the cars a lot. All I can say is it is a very old car and it is red :)

    Tom,

What are your thoughts on why there aren't any more 1:43 kits being made these days, at least kits of modern Ferrari's.

Tameo still make new F1 cars. BBR and a few Chinese model companies still make 1/43rd kits of modern Ferrari's. Check on ebay for the Chinese companies as they sell direct.

Bottom line, diecast and resin already assembled models are what most 1/43rd builders are buying now. Some super detail 1/43rd kits are still coming out of classic and special Ferrari's, but not many 1/43rd kits of the newer high production Ferrari's.

I have got the SMP24 "Maserati Khamsin" from a Russian (!) model car dealer / fan living in Sibirien (!) via EBAY. There is no homepage or an e-mail address on the box or in the instruction sheet. SMP24 shows his models and the future cars only via twitter. And the price? I have paid 490 USD plus shipping / at this price has been sold the first Lambo via EBAY too. Possible you will have to pay "only" 400 USD (plus shipping) when you buy directly. To my informations the first Lambo and the Khamsin are sold out.

    all the best
    Peter

You got ripped off by the Russian. They should be around $200.00+ shipping. He seems to reissue kits as he goes along but it may take awhile as its a very small operation.

Contact the person from the SMP blog and Twitter account I posted a few pages back. Thats the best way to get info from the people involved. Khamsin is still available in limited quantities as of last week.

Too big indeed. If memory serves me, those air vents came from the R8 Renault-Gordini production sedans.
