That's a nice addition to the story Manski. Sounds like Henry lived a pretty full life. Too bad it was cut short. I still do have 3 prints, so contact me directly to make arrangements. Thx
Just wanted to add my thanks to Tony for making this photo and the contact sheet available to us. May this photo always remind us of our limitations on wet roads! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Welcome, and thanks for the remembrance... I just came to the thread to watch the commercial on Cuba again!
Anyone still interested in a copy of this photo? Christmas is coming and I still have some prints ready to ship! Thanks Tony [email protected]
I loved hearing the story about the owner, Henry. Tony's print is featured in my garage and gets comments every time someone sees it for the first time. Tony, thanks again for your willingness to share with all of us. Rob should make you an honorary lifetime member with all the goodwill FChat has enjoyed as a result of this project of yours! Cheers, William Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks William, you're very kind. I have really enjoyed being able to share this photo, and the accompanying story(s) with all of you.
Just a little addition to this thread. This past weekend I was invited to the Aston Martin Club of Canada's annual winter dinner. They wanted to present a copy of this print to a very valued member and asked if I would tell the story behind it. It occurred to me that I have never printed any of the other images I took that day so I decided to print them all, just to see them and show them to the folks at the AMOC dinner. Here are a couple, one showing what was visible to a passing car, and the other which clearly shows the plate. Anyone who has a connection to the Ontario DMV may be able to track down the VIN of this car with the plate number. As has been mentioned earlier in this thread, someone here probably owns this car. Whether they want to know they own this car or not, is another question! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for posting, Tony. Every time someone comes in my garage for the first time, they end up commenting on your striking photo. I wonder who owns this BB?
Maybe I can afford the wrecked BB, when found! But wait, with this kind of provenance, it'll be double the current market value. Tony, will email you for a photo. I've been subscribing to R&T for about 35 years.
Wow - the car looks so beautiful in that second shot, tree stump notwithstanding, LOL. The contrast of the shiny horse and fascinatingly original BB152 script against the simple taillights and the muscular fenders would have had me staring at that picture for hours if it had been the shot R&T had published.
Made all that much better with the photos and photographer together. Carfox shows a clear title. JK But it's a mere scratch. And she was not a garage queen. So she's got that going for her.
Here's a few more to show the damage. I think the front took out a small tree in the initial encounter. Must have been scary as hell for him when he slid off that edge. Luckily the trees stopped him. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
So after a move to Canada's wet west coast, I have found a local printer who is able to make more hi-quality prints if anyone is still interested. These will still be part of the limited edition, as I have not yet reached 150. I can be still be reached at [email protected]. Thanks to all the previous buyers, it has been a real pleasure for me to make this print available.
