Well noted, if I can put an alarm on these wheels, I will :)
    Yes, finally, thank you.

Yes HRE are just as beautiful and I think 17s are perfect for the 308.

Thanks Mike, I guess I'm going to have to buy a couple of soft bristled paintbrush as I would like to maintain these wheel and don't let the brake dust build up. Thanks for the tip. :)

Mike, like finding a needle in a haystack. They look awesome, Ferrari should have made them stock on the 308's. Go and by the powerball lotto ticket, sitting at over 208 million now. Luck is on your side. If for some reason you sell your car and want to unload the those 17's, shoot me a message 😀

They look great, 17 is as big as I would go. I don't know if an 18 could be made to look right.

I tell you Michael, until now I still couldn't believe it. Powerball? I feel like I already won with these wheels.
Thanks Todd, The 17s specially with these style really belongs to the 308. 18 can work if it's done right. I've seen 19 on a 328 that didn't look too bad.
Thanks Brian, if you really like to ave a set, just keep looking and be patience.

    Front: 225/45/17
    Rear: 255/40/17
But Colorado Tiger (Mark) said I can go wider tire like 235 front and 275 rear which what he is using on the same size wheel as mine.

Well the previous owner went cheap and bought the inexpensive tire but at least it came with it and I don't have to buy a set yet since they're fairly new.

Welcome to the club, Mike. I have Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500, 225/45R17 and 255/45R17 on my Compomotives, and they have been very good over the last few years. My '89 328 has a much different offset, so my wheels are not very deep. I also replaced the center sticker with a moose sticker.

Todd, actually, they're more of a summer tires than a rain tires.

Wow! That is nice Mule, it really stands out on a black/Nero body. We should start a Compomotive 17" wheel club. By the way, why didn't you use 255/40 for the rears? That would have given you about 1/2" more rubber. Anyway your car looks stunning.

Not sure where the 40 aspect would give more rubber than the 45 aspect? I think they may a bit more height with the same width than what you are running.
    255/40-17 vs. 255/45-17, difference
    Diameter inches (mm) 25.03 (635.8), 26.04 (661.3), 1 (25.5) 4%
    Width inches (mm) 10.04 (255), 10.04 (255), 0 (0) 0%

Thank you very much for the compliments. I got my wheels 12 years ago, when they were "easy" to get.

Yesterday, I took my Compomotive 17 to Costco and filled them up with Nitrogen for free then tomorrow I'll have them balance and install them on my car for good.

And you will find yourself driving by store windows just to look at them. You are lucky to have the weather to enjoy them right now.

Yes, maybe most of the the weather is nice but believe there are times when it's just too hot to drive at least for me, and it's not too pleasant to drive.

I understand that with a black interior, too. Funny thing is my A/C works great. Even the dealer was surprised how well it cooled. Of course it is -6 degrees right now, so I am not sweating too much.

Enjoy your wheels. I did notice after about 100 miles, I needed to re-torque them. There was just the tiniest squeak noise, and all the bolts needed a little extra. Maybe it was new bolts, new wheels, or whatever, but give them a re-torque after a few drives.

Thanks Mule, I'll check the torque on mine after 100 miles. How much torque do you set it at?
