Wow-what a great response so thank you all. I never expected this amount of interest. As I said, in a couple of weeks I will post some images of my Vol 1 proof and also then have a price for the 40 run. Big decision is to whether it will be A3 or A4. The proof is A3 but I need to also establish the cost difference.
Small but important success today. Passed the MOT which involves a lot of boring detail and requirements but now means we are road legal. I suspect it may be more demanding in the UK than the US?
In fact someone posted these pics on another site so knew before I did. Next up new reg and lose the front plate Image Unavailable, Please Login
That may be true judging by what I see on shows such as Wheeler Dealers where the slightest bit of rot is a fail. Over this side of the pond they plug in the OBDII to the computer which tells them that it passes the smog test and then general stuff like lights and brakes. If you could see the condition of some heaps that pass the annual inspection you would be amazed. Here in NC after the test they used to affixed a sticker to the windscreen. Now they don't do that but after it passes the test they automatically notify the NCDOT (Department of Transportation) and you can renew the license plate sticker (after you've paid the annual vehicle tax). Stops people from not paying the tax and still driving the vehicle. Alan
Amazing work and a beautiful car !!! However, does anyone agree with me that the look of the standard F40 (especially the front) is nicer than the LM ?? (I don't mean to start an argument, I am just sharing my personal opinion)
I think I recognize that MOT garage and Ferrari specialist as I had work carried out on my De Tomaso next door. Tim, your car looks great. David SW3
I personally am a big fan of F40s with the LM front end, rear wing and wheels. Might be in the minority, I don't know...it just looks so mean with it.
Sorry for "highjacking" your Thread again. Due I'm not able to write PM's (maybe not enough postings) I would appreciate to order one of your books on his way (if it's possible No. 40).
