Hi, I'm planning to spend a couple of weeks motoring around Northern Italy at the start of September and part of it will involve a night or two in Bologna. Can anyone recommend somewhere / a hotel where I can park a 355 safely? I'll also greatly appreciate any tips from anyone about other places to visit. My rough plan is to drive over the Alps from Switzerland, probably to Maranello but then I'll have a couple of days to kill in that area before (possibly) heading to Monza for the GP then over to Bologna... I'm planning to head north to the lakes after Bologna. Grazie!
Scuderia Ferrari Club Mirabello Monferrato hosts a nice Ferrari Raduno (gathering) every Fall. This year our event is on 14 September. The tiny town of Mirabello Monferrato is roughly halfway between Turin and Milan. We attract more than 50 Ferraris each year. It's a very low key event. We gather in the main plaza, look at the cars, and then make a short tour to a nearby restaurant where we eat an extended lunch. The cost for lunch is low, the food and wine are great, and the people are friendly. If you're still in the area on the 14th, plan to join us. It's definitely not a concours, so bring your Ferrari even if it's covered with bugs. Ask for the American; I'm the only one.
I am Carlo , ferrarist of Bologna and for me Hotel whith garage in Centre of Bologna is HOTEL ROMA D'Azeglio street An other hotel , near Fiera , is Hotel FIERA of Stalingrado street. On TRIVAGO see the price !!! Bye Bye Carlo Faccioli
Hi Tom, Last time we went to Imola to race we stayed in a very nice hotel with a huge parking garage. Food was awesome and the pricing was ok. Only when there is a fair in Bologna prices are double. Name of the hotel is Relais Villa Valfiore Via Imelda Lambertini, 20 Bologna - San Lazzaro di Savena, 40068 Italy Tel.: +39 051 625 54 91 Fax: +39 051 499 81 01 Ciao Oscar
Be careful when driving in Bologna there are some area(s) / street(s) that you are not allowed to drive in /on without clearance. If the Hotel is in the area(s) you will end up with a fine if the Hotel does not register your car with the Police.
Thanks all. Seems the Roma do valet parking at some garage nearby (?) which I don't like the sound of. Does anyone (Carlo?) know if this car park would be OK to park in overnight? Parking in BOLOGNA PIAZZA VIII AGOSTO - APCOA PARKING
For future reference the APCOA car park at Piazza viii Agosto was fine overnight and only 20. There was also this abandoned 348 there, under a tarpaulin. Anyone know the story? Image Unavailable, Please Login
