Hi, I would like to know what are the recommended exhaust options for a Ferrari 348. I have a quote for 3 different manufacturers (installed): Tubi:4200$ Quicksilver: 3500$ Fabspeed: 2800$ What would be your decision? Thanks in advance for your help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To read some of the previous threads here (eg this just a few weeks ago http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/451152-exhaust-questions-348-a.html) and also seek out sound clips on youtube to get a feel for my personal preference
The Fabspeed X-pipe has a nice low rumble in the lower RPM and a high pitched but aggressive sound in the higher RPM. The 348 with Fabspeed headers, catbypass and X-pipe was a mix between full challenge set up (raw and aggressive, not so much high pitched) and a 355 wail.
I have a Larini system and love it. http://www.larinisystems.com/collection/ferrari/348/larini-sports-exhaust-system http://vid189.photobucket.com/albums/z52/darkk_aangel/2008LariniSportExhaustonEva_zps84f55ee7.mp4
Wow! That is sweet sound! Where did you get it from and how much it costed? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a Tubi and the cats replaced with test pipes. An amazing sound which lets out a F1 type scream (old school not these new lawn mowers) at the top end as well as a awesome rumbling idle. Have only been pulled up once so far by the noise police (no doubt any of these systems will push it out of specs as far as the noise police are concerned). Fortunately I still have the original stock system which I promptly put back before having it tested. Technically it still failed even with the full stock system at 82dB where the cuttoff was 80dB. Luckily I had a reasonable accessor who passed it. The problem is for us here in Oz the EPA does not differentiate between a front and rear engined car and rear engined cars put out extra noise not associated with the exhaust which the measurement gear picks up !
I've got a Nouvalari Supersport on mine, thankfully the noise police haven't got out our way in the depths of rural England. These vids sound better through headphones although not quite as they do in 'real life.' Gives an idea though. (Second vid was to show a mech that my oil pressure sender unit had given up the ghost but just added to give an idea of in car). It's a bit louder than the likes of a Tubi and a bit less 'refined'. I quite like it though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSO5tsq8R8U&list=UUeWWdVzTfpIFyXmIR_7_CSA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUMmbqsikuQ&list=UUeWWdVzTfpIFyXmIR_7_CSA
That Nouvalari exhaust is mean! Makes my choice more difficult! What is the price for the Nouvalari? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think you may have to get them through the North American importer, not sure. I bought mine direct from the guys who make it here in the UK. You could give them a call to find out though, might be different in Canada to the US. Nouvalari Engineering Ltd The importer is Nouvalari USA - Custom Exhausts, Headers, Manifolds - Blue Bell, PA (not part of Nouvalari themselves I don't think)
Can't go wrong with Nouvalari. Have got Supersport on mine with Fabspeed cat bypass pipes. Sounds mean.
I replaced mine with a Tubi which cost me $3,200 six years ago. Looks like the price has really gone up. I really like the sound and I believe there was some performance improvement.
