    excellent, they'll go FAST!
Notice the attention to detail, there is a small spring loaded ball bearing for the detent so it stays flat unless folded -gotta love that!

Just wondering, why do they fold? Is it for knee safety?

I have what appear to be original keys, but mine don't fold.

Were these the correct original style for the 308s? I thought not, but I'd love to be wrong as these are very cool.

Well, I have an original uncut blank at hand just right now, and the original key of my 1989 328 GTB...
On these two (at least...?) the blade is reversed: the part of the blade that has a "ball" is on the same side as the largest side of the handle, the one with the hole.
Or, if I'm not clear enough, the head of the "cavallino" should be on the same side of the part of the blade that has no "ball", the ball on the metal blade should be on the same side as the "cavallino's" feet/hooves and hole.
Said otherwise, and according to the keys I have, you should return the metal blade; hope I'm clear...
    Otherwise, it is perfect!

    Best

strange, his repro is orientated that same way as my factory key. the key ring should be at the bottom when the key is in the tumbler, that's what really dictates the orientation.

Yep! this is exactly what I was trying to say: the side of the blade that receive the "teeth" when cut should be on the same side as the bottom of the key handle, where the "hooves" of the "cavallino" are, and where the hole for the ring is...
Please anybody having the OEM keys check the orientation of the blade of the repro against your keys, because, as far as my keys for my two 1989 328 are concerned, it means the blade of the repro should be reversed...??

    best,

Been looking for a spare folding key for ages. Well done...great job.

Would you be willing to put me down for one or maybe two black ones please? I'm in the UK so would have to find a convenient way to pay.

    Many thanks.
