Hey guys, looking into picking up one of these soon as a weekend cruiser as my Camaro has basically become a track car only. I will take the time to find a nice one, but I have some questions.

Anybody own one? Anything to look out for? Is the smaller 302 enough power? Best place to buy upgrades?

    Thanks.

The wiring is the big problems I see. Most guys and even shops dont really know how to do proper wiring. The rest of the stuff is pretty easy on FFR's and yes a 5.0 is fine for the car. The last one I did for a customer had a crate 302 from Ford Motorsports with aluminum heads and it was fast.

$50k puts you in Superformance range. Just based on what I've quality of work-wise, I'd take a Superformance over a FFR any day. That being said, I think I'd be more than happy with either.

Factory 5 produces a very good, well developed kit.

If you are looking to build a car, the FFR will offer a lot of value for the money and there is a tremendous support network to help you with the build.

If you want to purchase a completed car, everything will depend on the components and workmanship the builder put into it. Some are very high quality and others are pretty bad.

Also, FFR is up to their 4th generation of the kit, with each new release came numerous improvements - so the earliest cars are usually the least costly on the resale market.

Looking for a good handling car with some torque for driving in the country around PA and upstate NY. Looking at Cobras and newer vettes. Do not want to deal with classic car BS.
