If it has original LM peices and was raced during the pebble beach events...I wouldnt think anything less than 2M$ ?
This year I had the opportunity to put quite a few fast, mountain road miles on this same ATS. It is quite an interesting car, and entertaining to drive. Predictable and very fast for the era. I agree with the other post about what it will bring at auction...who knows? There is an article about the car in this month's Classic Cars magazine. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Andrew, $2M would get you about 40% of that car! The yellow one I saw during the same weekend being sold by Gooding (Mr. Walton's car) has an asking price in the $7M range. So the red one is a bargain. Geno.
Estimate for the car of this thread is 300k pounds.. http://www.anamera.com/en/detail/car/49449/index.html?no_cache=1&ret=63 Roof is a little too bulky for that price...
Gene No, that yellow one at Gooding's is not owned by Mr. Walton and has never been. The S/N is 5843. Marcel Massini
About the price of a low end 599, but unlikely to depreciate as quickly. Marcel- What is your opinion on the repros made up from the burned remains? The 250 LM remains my number one desirable Ferrari, especially a LHD short nose if there was one. Unfortunately, I sold Marcel's 250 LM book over a decade ago, so cannot check. Taz Terry Phillips
True, must be someone out their, that has the ability/history to write a book on all the cars and their history.
What is Nye's book like? does it have car history? Pity Walter B is not doing a book, his Maserati 300s book is a great reference.
since this is a recent thread, and who doesn't love the LM and rank it at least in the top ten if not #1... Many years ago - too many - Joe Rosen gave me a ride in 5901. Several laps around LRP. Still grinning soooo many years later. As I recall the license said "67FIAT" and I still have Marcel's book... Cheers, Charley
Nice story, and welcome to F-chat. For the sake of non-Americans: which circuit does LRP stand for? Onno
It stayed in the UK after the RM auction. Engine was fully rebuilt as a 275, plus other changes to full period homologation spec, and now FIA approved ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
