coachi, if you are serious you should discuss this with Ferrari of Houston. The owner there has one in his collection and could maybe make a suggestion....I'd think at this juncture in time the 'Track Use Only' (or it it now Show and Display, Joe Sackey?) exemption would have great attraction given how close they are to total exemption.... Agreed, Show & Display is one route, but or many, myself included, the exercise is pointless if a road car cannot be used on the road...
well, 50 to 75 K is quite a hit and time wise, not acceptable. I doubt these cars can be imported duty free either. So a 470,000 Euro car is like a 720,000 US dollar car; plus 75 for federalization, plus shippinf, plus duties...I am sure closer to 850K. That is quite pricey for a 288GTO imo.
I knew that F40 and 288 were a deal at a million for both...... Just didn't have that extra 7 digits laying around. And both were really low miles if I recall.........
