Anyone have series 2 manuals (1983 and up)? Found them at Ferrari literature but they want an outragous $40 for shipping. Maybe its just me but I hate it when companies turn shipping into a profit center. Thanks in advance for replies or suggestions.
Dave What was the price of the manual before the $40 shipping charge? Who is source, send a link of contact info please. Ken
Have to give credit in public to Joe from Ferrari Lit. He contacted me off-line after seeing this post and apologized a lot for the mistake on shipping charges on his site. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy and even sent me the items I wanted BEFORE he had the money from me. His books are expensive, but they were in excellent shape as he described. Thanks Joe, your wine is on the way.
Good day Dave, I am in total agreement! Indeed, some companies do overcharge for shipping. However, there are cases where the charge is not do to markup, but what shipping companies are charging. Unless you ship often, one is unaware of how the shipping costs have dramatically risen over the last year. I ship items domestically and internationally (usually smaller pieces) almost daily and I can tell you that on average the shipping charges (charged to me by the shipping company) has gone up roughly 35% in the last year. Items that I could ship for $38 (Fed Ex 2nd Day) day now cost $52. Cheers, Sam
Dave Thanks for the link to Joe. It does not appear that he has a 400i Workshop manual in stock, but I sent him a not to keep me in mind if he finds one. Ken
Is it factory workshop manual 338/85 400i workshop you seek - if so I think a friend in England may have one - whats the going rate ?
