I just noticed the Box is marking its spot in the garage. :(

Mentioned it to my wife and she says "Must be a boy!".

Uggh. You just changed the oil, correct? Did you replace the drain plug gasket? Sometimes they'll seep a bit from there.

    Well, scratch that then.

Have you looked and determined where it's leaking yet?

Do you feel as though you can't escape your profession as Uro is now doing urodynamics on the Box? ;-)

    LOL

Well, it just so happens, it went yesterday evening to my mechanic for the 30k service. I suspect he will tell me the RMS is weepy. I'm not worried. :)

    I suspect you're spot on...HA!

As a fellow victim of Porsches economic driven design flaws I can tell you it's not that big a deal.

I'm curious. How do you like driving it? I know it's worlds apart in feel from the miata but when I got mine it felt to me like a bigger, fatter, faster miata(just like the new miata! But in a good way.) with more storage...kind of like a grown up miata.

    Great looking car!

Let's pretend I didn't just waste 10 minutes of company time reading this whole thread. I just came in on the tail end... for a sec.

The only time I have ever had (or heard of) oil spots from a Boxster it was RMS related. They are usually very dry (including little to no oil consumption), from my experience.

Yup, the Box is a lot more grown up. Faster and smoother and more settled.

A better car in every way.

    but....

    Not as.... well.....FUN.

I'm not getting rid of the '92 Miata, that's for sure!

I think if I upgrade it might be in the Elise direction rather than the 911 direction.

As far as the RMS, the $900 fix can buy an aweful lot of motor oil!
