I'm also in Dallas. I'm curious where this thing is. I may have overlooked it in the ad. I think every Ferrari is a "collector" car. That said, a slushbox 400i is not exactly a 250 GTO. And, IMO, the chromed wheels are kinda, well, pimpish.

I am not very knowledgeable of 400s. I think the car is at a Plano Suzuki dealer . It is interesting-probably would not fit in with my garage. Could be a nice opportunity for someone. I might swing by and look at it tomorrow.

    A few observations:

If they bought a stebro exhaust for $2k I want to know where. Maybe just the resonators, but a complete exhaust for $2k? NO WAY, it didn't happen.

Front & rear glass for $3.5k? Had to be used.

Full tune up, $1200. Impossible the cap alone is $900.

The trim on a 400 is NOT chrome, it is stainless steel.

    Chrome wheels? Oh please.

The aftermarket v12 emblem on the back has to go

Rear 400i badge is missing, tough to find

I'm not a fan of the body colored shiny painted bumpers

It has the correct steering wheel and is in nice shape

Speedo has been swapped out so the mileage is NOT correct.

Does this car have DOT/EPA papers?

The interior leather looks real good and is correct throughout

Has the factory dinoplexe on the hood

CRAP! I thought I nailed it.

You are correct Brett, those are NOT the correct tail lights.

    Good eye Brett.

Dave, you are slipping up a bit.

The front grille is from an earlier 400 - the 1984 model should have exposed daylight flashing lights.

Believe it or not, you can get a full Stebro exhaust for $2500, delivered. I did for my 400GT! And, it fits! I had to tweak it a little bit, but all in all I am satisfied with it. I do get a resonance at about 3500 rpms though, and I wish it had a little more 'bass'. But heck, it's 304 stainless (really!) and I shouldn't have to ever replace it. Now if I could just find some ANSA stickers to put on the tips...

    Fellows,

I have been looking to buy a V12 for a short time and have been seeing what is out there. All this reconditioning? The proper badging and trim, not there, questions to the miles. It still is striking, a stunner in black.

    Ciao...Paolo

I don't think the hood louvers come painted from the factory...
