Let's re-start this list. This is as much as I know about what to get where. Since we can't seem to get this turned into a sticky, add what you have, and I'll post it as a web page on my site, or maybe eventually start some kind of Dino resource network or some other kind of hokey website for us DinoHolics. Dave, great list indeed, and for sure, Lyle Tanner is a great resource. He has not failed yet to get me anything I've needed and fast. Got me a completely new water pump no problem with little delay.
if you need an accurate answer, I'll have to go search the paperwork, but I recall the whole pump assy was somewhere in the $500-1000 region... Apparently the shaft is too long for the bearing location, and so the thing wants to wobble or precess around it's axis, and eventually it goes out.
Carburettor parts: I've been using Pierce manifolds for decades: http://www.piercemanifolds.com/ I've also maintained a helpful list on my website for the Maserati Bora, some sources are similar http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/6743/Bora/parts_sources.html
Double Bump. Anyone else have any good resources for this list? Maybe books, tools, whatever??? I'm going to make this a permanent webpage somewhere, and then just keep posting the link anytime anyone wants this kind of information. (Since we can't seem to get this made into a sticky. Also, that way I can easily add to it as we all develop more sources for good Dino stuff. Dave
Dave - Shaughnessy's site, http://www.vintageferrariparts.com/ , says it is "Closed Indefinetely." Does this mean you can't reach him through the link listed or something else? Do we just have to email him or PM him? Thanks - Mark
Dave, you did it! Finally got this a Sticky. My first pick and last resort is GT Car Parts in Phoenix. No Web site but great on the phone which is where it counts most. New and used parts, Ferrari and second sources, good return policy, good advice on how-to. If they have to order it, it can take forever but if they have it you can get it the next day. Prices are good. GT Car Parts 419 West Lone Cactus Drive Phoenix, AZ 85027-2956 Ph 623-780-2200 Fx 623-780-1200 Again thanks for leaning on the moderators. John

hi guys. do you know where i can find the special tool for the lock nuts on the gearbox and drop gears, i saw it somewhere here on Fchat but i couldn't find them now that i need them pic here http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/2763/locknut5zz.jpg thanks ROLOcr
Dave, Please add companies that don't have web sites. GT Car Parts is the most obvious hole in your list. Just add them in line with the alphabetically sorted web sites and ignore that there is no "www." in front. Give phone number. Jon and I and lots of others swear by them. If they have it, the quality and the price is right. So is the delivery. And the best part is that they have used bits and pieces too. Thanks, John
John & Pietro, I know you guys love GT Car Parts. But I've been having a hell of a time with them. They told me they have a Right Front Fender and a nose cone for a Dino. I'm in dire need of these parts. I've been asking Bill for photos to see the condition of these parts for over 2 weeks now. I sent him numerous emails to make it easy...just "reply" with pics attached. Still nothing. I've got the insurance company threatening to close the case and issue a check for what they think my repairs should cost. I told this to Bill and he says "it's not my problem". Well thank you very much! Manny
GT is not into e-mail, photos, etc. Got to call them and talk nicely. Plain old land-line works like a charm. They understand Fedex, UPS overnight, snail mail, the parts they have and the parts you want. That's just the way it is. John
