Ilario / Ilario Désolé, je ne suis pas très bavard !!! mais je suis là ! http://www.ilario.com
Oups, did not realize there were so many Netherland Fchaters. Great. Hope the French list will increase ;-)
Ahhh, sorry again, I will update the list now. I hope I did not miss anybody, but if I did, please PM me. Cheers - Julio.
Guys, I just saw that you have two honorary members in this list. I just want to propose 2 more... First Roland Linder, he's belgian after all. Ok he lives in Colorado, but he's a great guy and own one of more exinting ferrari ever made...F40 LM... Second Chalstrad he's English and live in USA but own a 360 cs that stay in france, he's also member of Ferrari Club France. Hope this request will be done. Greetings
I was going to ask you Ton, I guess somehow they belong to the European section, at least one of them. But will be easier to add them if to the list if at least they would introduce themselves here to our community, what do you think? The reason for the ones that are already there I though it was because of their participation in the Euro section discussions, am I right? - Julio.
Julio, It is not up to me to decide this. But a honorary member is somebody who has done a special contribution to the Euro section, and for that reason is honorary. I would advice to keep this very special.
I don't know who started this thread, wasn't Wolfgang? Neither I am who decides it, hmm... well should we open a thread for proposals on how to attack this problem? Maybe other day this week, I got enough for today, I bet you too. - Julio.
Ton, so, you'll have to add Chalstrad in the uk member list... I didn't ask to add him like honorary because of his contribution or because he owns a cs, but simply because he's active in the euro section and because his ferrari is in europe and also because he's a great ferrari enthusiast. For the case of Roland, i think that he's really a great guy, and he's also belgian.... But ok i understand that Honorary have to be more special. So maybe could we have another section like "abroad" members or special members ???
I think that everybody should apply for a place in the Euro community list himself. It is just a list of active members within our forum. Nothing else.
Yes, I have started the ferrarichat.com...munity list. (the following comments are just & only my thoughts! Its all up to the users and the moderators) - I have never ad somebody to the european list cause I only saw him reading/posting. - Its up to the user to introduce himself HERE and to ask to get listed! Thats the way it worked since a few years. - Its not necessary to own a Ferrari, this counts also for the honorary list! - Even if somebody would own 100 Ferraris its not a reason to list him here honorary. The honorary (IMO) should be: - a long time fchatter - a world wide well respected person - friendly & communitativ / also within the european section - a very "special" member who has done a special contribution to the EU section .....for more examples check out the general "Consultants & Honorary" fchat member list. Well, MY opinion/advice for the future would be: - name somebody you would like to ad to the honorary list - tell us WHY he should get the status of a honorary member in the EU section - lets vote D huuuu, hate this votings) or discuss it About Roland He is the gent and would fit perfect IMO!!!! But.....he has left the board in December 2005 I (personal) wish to welcome Roland back here on fchat and in our european section. To give you an example: Another one I would love to see on our "honorary" list is: Napolis / Jim Glickenhaus - long time fchater - highest reputation world wide - always reading and frequently posting in the eu section / I personal love to read his short and succint comments - he was the "man" who stayed together with us 24 hours online when the horror accident with Jens Haller happened (and of course many more US friends). He always asked for help and he did it! - (a personal thing now) he invited me last year in his private house for 3 days, met his whole family, stayed in his house, drove his LOLA T70, went to the Show and Galla dinner......to much to list. - he invited (must search for his name) from the european section to the TARGA FLORIO in Sicilia......driving the 330 P3/4 and 002C - he shares his love & passion to EVERYBODY who is friendly Best Wolfgang
I think its quite nice to have a list of european fchatters. But the honorary thing doesn't make much sense to me. These guys are well respected on the board and are recognised as such. They don't need to be listed here.
Why? There is nothing wrong with your question. It is actually a good question because I was always wondering why we have honorary members anyway. And what is their status? We are an open community! Everybody is welcome!
