Thoroughly modern, and yet the perfect tribute not only to the Pontoon Fender TR, but to all that is good about Ferrari. And a confirmation that Ferrari, as a boutique manufacturer, should leave the styling to work to the specialists, and just focus on what is does best (sound, speed and soul).
Really? It's a cool car but it looks like a high end kit car based on Ferrari. Ferrari did produce the f12 tr which looks like a custom Ferrari. Judging from the engine and the dash it's based on the 550/575 and the enzo front end is pretty old. But it was a great video nonetheless and still a really cool car and great insight into the designer.
Great article, but agree with simsko, looks like a high-end kit car. And that dash! It looks like it is from a Hello Kitty car.
I think this car looks very good. The only difference is that there is no Ferrari badge on it. Well, Ken Okuyama is a friend of mine, and he is the one that got me interested in trying to realize my childhood dream of becoming a car designer for Ferrari. The original plan, back in 2012, was to make my design I had for this project, attached here. He was going to work with me to produce this car, based on a 599. But he changed his mind, and decided he needs to make his own design. After all, it would be his name and logo on the car. I understand his position, but I decided not to do the project with him, since that would ultimately not get me to my own goal in doing this project. I want to create something of my own design. Hence, I did the 599 spyder project, which was all I could produce with my resources. But I am pretty happy with the result. And Ken liked my car very much also! That meant a lot to me, since Ken designed the 599 when he was at Pininfarina, and basically, I chopped the top off it to create my Spyder version. I am happy he approved of my design.
