Another build.. taking a bit longer then I'd like. Lots of custom bits. Waiting on the intercooler manifold to get back from powder coating. No more rubber bands.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Almost forgot, the change to the serpentine belt is to support the use of our custom built denso hairpin 180 Amp alternator. No more low voltage issues! of course this also means changing the alt to starter wiring but that's a small consideration for the gains. The later QV's and 328's have larger gauge batt cables, earlier models.. not so much
Not really, shooting for ~400Hp at the wheels. 20 psi and liquid intercooled. The one thing that keeps power from jumping into the 500's is head flow and the cost to get there isn't really worth the effort when 400Hp is more then enough in the 3x8 chassis for reliable daily fun.
Interesting look, Scott. Looks a bit more accessible than the 928 one, although it clutters the engine bay a bit. Are you using a Laminova?
How much torque will it have at say 2500 rpm? That is the major difference between my 308QV and my 512bbi. If my 308 had the 512s torque, it would be spectacular.
