What is this for? I mean what would one carry in here? Valuable paperwork? Gun and wad of cash? Maybe a Ferrari SD2 or SD3 cable? Other?
Ive been using a similar sized Porsche Design case for the past twenty years. Its finally falling apart and needed something to replace it, so I built a few of these. Top pic shows whats usually in there on my business trips. Next two pics show a case used for carrying a MacBook Air 13-inch and MacBook Pro 15-inch. One of these cases was used on the Syfy program The Expanse, Season 2, Episode 5 for the atomic football. The mold that the CF shells were made from is net height to minimize the NC trim operation. Increasing the case thickness will require a new mold. It can be done and would be a special build. At the moment I've no plans to make another mold.
Tom my compliments on the design and execution. Given the ultra low production and the number of custom parts in the assembly the price is actually quite good. If Ferrari made these they could command 5X the price for no reason other than the yellow box. For sure any buyer that appreciates quality over a fancy brand name will have for themselves a very exclusive part. I'd love to be a buyer but it is just out of my snack bracket. Best of luck with the sale. I'm sure any buyer will be very happy.
add a Kevlar liner if it doesn't take up too much interior space... to turn it into a ballistic shield... actually it could be a great add on feature to any case
Assembled another CF briefcase over the weekend. Similar to the previous, this one does not have rubber feet on the hinge and the interior has a single full-length pocket without partition for passport. Currently have available two of the previous build and this one. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
