What is the largest recommended tire size you can fit on the 348's OEM 17" wheel? I've searched all over the forum, and only seem to find responses regarding 18" or 19" wheels. Any help or advice would be appreciated, as there are not many tire sizes available for the OEM specs. Thanks, Jason
Thanks Gaetan, but Mark had shown a larger front at 225 than the OEM 215. Need to know the section of the 225 please. Thanks though!
https://tiresize.com/calculator/ put in the stock size of 215/50-17 and click calculate. a 215/45 is 2% smaller and a 225/50 is 1.6% bigger
Issue is I cant seem to find a matched set for our wheels on the Tire Rack for any sizes other than OEM. Im wondering if i'm missing something.
Image Unavailable, Please Login I don’t even know what I have — short term memories loss. nitto 225/45/zr17 Front. Nt 05 275/40/zr17 rear with a 15 mm spacer and longer studs. They don’t look that big. I got them at Tire rack America’s tire. Not thrilled with service. Matched set— 200 trendwear rating. $895 out the door. I would have preferred Michelin, Pirelli or Contis but like you’re finding no matches sets. Michelin supposed to have new tires for 17 in Jan or Feb. nitto makes competition/racing too. 02 I’d prefer a 215 up Front, easier for around town.

Here’s me today with Southwest Ferrari Club of America at Willow Springs right now. Marshall Buck just went for a ride with me and he likes my line.
What's wrong with the BFG comp 2s? if you look deep enough, there should be the conti DW06's in a non-all season version. What do you need the tires to do? sjd
Nothing wrong them at all. But if you start going bigger, its hard to find a matched set. Mark's 225/45-17 and 275/40-17 combination yields quite a few options!
Thinking about getting these: highest reviews for performance and reasonably priced. A couple of reviewers compared them very favorable to the Michelins but at a much lower price. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Firestone&tireModel=Firehawk+Indy+500&frontTire=245WR7FHI5XL&i1_Qty=2&rearTire=74WR7FHI5&i3_Qty=2
Hi Steve- I actually found a set original white 18: SPeedline Challenge wheels that I bought, so went with Michelin's that worked on the 18s. If I had stuck with 17" stret rubber, I would have ordered the Firestones for sure. But no first-hand experience to report. Jason
Jason: What size tires did you fit on your 18" wheels? I've got a '95 348 Spider with 18" Starfish 360 wheels. Need tires and trying to decide about sizes that will fit the wheel wells. Thanks! Roger
235/40 ZR-18 fronts 285/35 ZR-18 rears Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Not sure on width of the Speedline Challenge wheels vs the 360 starfish design. Anyone know if they are the same?

Jason: Good looking car! I really like the white Speedlines on your car. The tire/wheel combinations appear to perfectly fit the wheel wells. Great choice! The tire sizes you chose are the same I've been considering so it's good to see them on a 348. I really appreciate the information and the photos. Thank you! Roger
I use 225/40ZR18 and 275-4-ZR18s on my F355--and it is well balanced after I lowered the rear to fit the 275/35s
