    This is a true collector quality 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS.

    Fchat is the only place we are listing this car, as it will be going onto Bring a Trailer. But if an Fchat member wants to buy it prior to our BAT listing, the price is $124,900.

    This is a ONE OWNER car with 15,284 original miles.

    This car has been correctly stored and meticulously maintained.

    We have never had a 308 in this condition. Nearly every part looks new, and the engine is clean enough to eat off of.

    Last big service was 8/1/23 by Prancing Horse, Inc.

    This car is all original with the only flaw being a small amount of “crows feet” in the paint near the front of the drivers door. Anyone who knows early 308’s knows that this is common and proves the paint is original. We have chosen not to fix it, to protect its originality.

    The seats are aged, but not worn. Again, we could freshen them with dye, but have chosen the originality route. We may dye them before the Bat listing

    The car starts right up and runs smooth and strong. The clutch and the transmission are crisp.

    Parts that are commonly broken or corroded on these are are perfect on this car, including the spring loaded prop that holds up the rear deck lid, all the black caulk is complete and looks fresh, there is no corrosion on any of the plastic parts, the rear luggage area is still tight, and the zipper works. Even the clock works. The books and tools are complete and clean.

    The only non original thing on this car is a battery tender.

    Mirrors and gear shift knob also not original. I do like the wheel and mirror upgrades, but prefer the original look of the 8 ball on the shifter.

    Horse in the grill also should'nt be there. Quite a lot of incorrect things for an ALL ORIGINAL CAR.
    The only non original part on this car is the battery tender AND, the wheels, the mirrors, the shifter ball, the grill horse and ..............................

    Very nice! I would put the non-original bits back to as-delivered, but that seems doable. Always cool, now historic.
