Hi... new here... I need the side air outlets on the dashboard, part # 60041401. I need both sides (two of them). Tried Ricambi and they didn't have it. Neither did Ted Rutlands. Anyone here know where I might find a good source? thanks!
Please check, my 308 QV WSM shows the vent p/n as 60044401. I'm very close to producing them. I need to do some final work on the mold so I can use metal threaded studs instead of the plastic ones. I've also added cross bracing on the vent back to eliminate temperature related warping, and also to strengthen the louvers so they won't break so easily. The 1st picture shows the rear cross bracing, The casting is a little rough as I was just doing a quick check of the mold so didn't pressure cure it to eliminate stray air bubbles. The 2nd picture shows front views of a NOS vent (top) and one fresh out of the mold (bottom). While you can see the cross bracing in the pictures, it isn't noticable when inside the car. Verell, very nice! Looks like a wonderful replacement. I think you'll sell a bunch of those - just about every 308 out there has warped ones. I'll be your first customer if you want to try a beta product test in the field!! Thanks. Cliff
Verrel, as the punch line to the old Bud light commercial says....."I love you, man" I want a set of those vents for my '77 GTB!!! Please let us know when they'll be available. Thanks. I still keep an extra set of your dino turn signals, just in case!! Best, Les
I'm having some trouble with getting the mold to hold the threaded studs at the right angle. I got busy with the unscratchable switch plates and set it aside, then it sorta slipped thru the cracks. Will try to get back to it this week when I'm making the 328 washer cap mold. With luck, may have 1st ones in a couple of weeks.
Just got my dash vents and unscratchable switch plate from Verell......the dash vents are AMAZING and make for a totally different feel from the drivers seat! It makes it feel, given the viiew from that perch, that the car is much newer than 33 years old!! Verell, don't take this the wrong way, but I hope more things keep breaking on your car and force you to make replacements for the rest of us hapless owners!! Thanks again, Les
Verell, Please post how I can get a pair. Do you have a telephone number? What's the cost of the dash vents? Thanks, Mark
