The only one I can remember for sure is, CS brakes are standard on '08 models. Try the search button for further info.

what i know is that in the 2008 models there is no main switch in the boot.

i dont understand why they removed it. It seems to be a very useful option.

Do anybody knows what they are?

    - New F1 gearbox program,
    - Ceramic brakes in base,
    - Scuderia seats as option

    What else?

    Thanks!

I've heard they remaped the ECU as well as the F1 algorithm giving the car slightly better performance. Never seen this in writting from Ferrari though.

I inquired from our dealer about the possibility of getting a late production 430. I have an '05 that I bought new. Since I want a stick, I was told the odds are poor and that the new ones don't have any improvements anyway. A lot of options have been added to the list since I spec'd mine and CC brakes now standard along with a big price increase. However, '08's should have the new design exhaust manifolds that have been problematic. I had mine replaced just before the warranty ran out and a bunch of other updates done along the way.

F1/TCU updates can be downloaded to any MY F430 at the customers request by an authorized dealer.
Scuderia seats are not offered as an option on the F430. Standard racing seats covered in leather or Alcantara are but not in the US.

Misinformation according to FNA and my dealer. Any ECU changes that may have occurred between '05 and '08 were not necessarily done for better performance, (HP) but emission regulations.

I don't think the Challenge grill was available on the '06.

Yes, I think it was offered near the end of 2006 but for a 2007 model year 430.

I just learned, over the weekend, that MY08 F430s have no keyhole on the passenger doors.

Also, back around July, Ferrari began adorning the wheels with different center caps - now they're raised and are longer plastic. I assume that's the case with all models, but I witnessed it on a 612.

I am considering some 07 and 06 F430's for my first F-car. Thanks for the help I have received on this forum. I'd like to understand any upgrades or improvements made from 06 to 07.

    Thanks,

    Rou

Upgrades no. Improvements--probably. Ferrari has a habit of improving various parts during production though they do not necessarily follow model years. An 07 will have all the upgraded parts that are covered by technical service bulletins on earlier years. The most important is probably the exhaust manifold update that I believe happened late in the 07 model year. You would have to run the vin# with a dealer to find out. However most earlier cars either already have this upgrade or will soon under warranty.

I'm looking at a 2006 or 2007 F430. I've been trying to find out what changes (if any) were made over the model years from 2005 thru 2009, but having trouble finding the changes online. Can anyone elaborate? Are there any changes I should be aware of thru the years? thanks!

    I have an 08. It's just more better! :)

Actually, the standard CCB's are awesome. There's a reason why every CS, Scud, and Enzo came with them.
