I know a few have expressed intrest. Alot of the other sections have these. I think it would benefit us greatly when it comes time to buy these expensive parts.
If I can get an Audi part for a third of the Ferrari price and it is the exact same item , why not.
Maybe list the part and for which model 348 or 355 in the title of each post to make for easy searching. Then list the manufactorer, part number, etc.
If this is something you guys want to do, let's make it a sticky where it can always be accesible at the top of the page. Below is a link to the 308/328 one.

    Any thoughts on this--good idea??

A fair number of 348 parts (e.g. ABS, bearings, gas struts, window motors, etc.) are 355 parts.

The 348 Parts Interchange thread shown above is pretty good, as are the355.com and the348.com for showing you how to save 90% or more on parts prices.

For instance, a heater valve on the348.com/tech/348.html sells for $1,000 from Ferrari, or for less than $15 at a Volkswagon parts discount shop.

    Same part.

Same for 348 fuel pressure regulators. $600+ from Ferrari, less than $60 from RockAuto.com.

O2 sensors can run $285+ from Ferrari, or $25 from RockAuto and/or eBay.

Front wheel bearings can routinely top $100 from Ferrari, yet be found for $15 on-line (same SKF bearing).

Cats can run $3,000! Or you can buy hyperflow cats for half that, or generic cats for less than $300.

The 355 and 348 use a pulse generator for our speedo signal that sells for $155 from Ferrari...same part in a blue Maserati box goes for less than $50.

You can pay over $100 for a simple Ferrari coolant hose, or get the same one at AutoZone for $8.

    It's mind-blowing.

I Know I'm late to this but we need to have cross reference part thread. I'm buying ferrari parts for a complete resto that will take me years to do but cross reference would be sweet and one of the most use threads. It will all so stop people starting threads for a thread over and over again.

Absolutely. This has been mentioned a number of times and would be extremely helpful. I still have a copy of your WORD .doc with a few substitute parts, Robbie.
