This was pre-BA. We used it as a teaser for the upcoming new model by grafting BA headlamp shape onto AU.
Targa is getting so close! We are sponsoring my friend in the Rookie Rallye category, driving his Lotus Exige. It looks pretty neat with the vinyls on I thought. Good luck Scud, I'll be out there trying to snap a couple off (photos that is )! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep, that's the second best way of enjoying scallops. IMHO, the best way is to dive for them, sit in the boat with good mates or milfs and eat them straight out of the shell. When they are fresh like that, you won't taste anything sweeter or more succulent.
Saw the article in the Mercury yesterday about their entry. Might catch up with you during the event.
Interestingly there is an AU for sale @ my105.com with the old spoiler kit... must have been in the garage for a long time... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Two AU's and a BA for sale @ my105.com... The Chance of a Lifetime car was actually very pretty also... its a pity the preparation and component life and prezentashun were not kept up to it.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ha ha .. I just spoke with Allan.. they have a mega car for the 1000km race, but got it worng in qual (Rob Bell driving this time, alternate plan).. so they're only 6th for the start.. no big deal.. 1000km is a long way.. But Allan will start the race... and he'll be in the air on the way back here before it finishes!!
Sounds like a mistake to me! I thought he didn't make any. I say that assuming he is #1 in the team and therefore has some say in these matters.
really? oyster style interesting. that may become quite possible in port phillip bay now theyve stopped scallop dredging...may have to learn to scuba
No driver mistake...(Allan doesn't make mistakes that cost significant time) Team is equal, and Rob Bell is within a few hundredths of Allans times. The team made a set up change that didn't come off. Allan will qual the car at the next race.... but it's a 1000km race... so start spot is meaningless
i'm the only one in my family who would eat them like that, i quite liked it, but you can't eat too many like that. as a kid i used to wade out into the water, collect two cockles and smash them together then eat them.
good luck to all racing. I see Rog is up against Ray Vandersee in the Skelta. Toowoomba born and raised!
A true afficianado! My one bane in life is that my daughter won't eat ANY seafood at all. The rest of the family are fine though. But despite her not eating seafood, she's a gem.
my sister will eat fish but not 'critters' 'critters' includes such things as prawns, shrimp, mussels, oysters, scallops more for me!
Spoke to Rog late yesterday...... he seemed very subdued, very quiet. Unusual for him............. I have my fingers crossed that he will do well, although he didn't get a chance this time to give the turbo a shakedown, the only chance he will get is on the drive to the prologue..... so here's hoping the car is right.
yeah i'm really over trying to open people's eyes to new foods, if they have a mental block which stops them eating nice stuff then f*&k 'em! i used to be like "oh try this you don't know what you're missing" but after a while i realised it's not worth it, just shut up and enjoy it yourself.
Hope he isnt needed by the team then.. if the driver stubs his toe, or eats a dodgy prawn the night before or something
