Steve is well pist off, i can tell you .... I, like many on the "north west" gang, have got to know steve pretty well through the spring and summer months .....He loves Fchat, he is an absolute "top banana", his f car knowledge is second to nobody, and more importantly, if you were in bother the other side of the world, he would do EVERYTHING within his capability to help you out.
I cannot speak for TR as i have never met the chap.

I am certain that those concerned have learnt the error of their ways .....I suggest that those few of us that have behaved like children in recent weeks, pull our socks up.

Let's just bury the hatchet, please.......and carry on with lessons learnt.
Maybe futuristically, three strikes and your'e out ???

No a 'ban" comes thru the site software...If you log on in a new name past the first "ban" you REALLY get the hammer.....

Stevef is NOT banned as he joined us in the OT Zupra Cafe for a cold Beck's the other day..........

He is rather upset to be single out for criticism as the whole Fchat site has tolerated much worse in the past..But the current stringent moderating is now required due to the misdeeds of a few...

Pretty typical of society really..we've all these laws and punishments in the USA now on drunk driving.....because of the AMATUER drunks...not the PROFESSIONAL ones.....see what I mean..

A techie-nerd I may be, but I'm no Trekie. Although I am giving serious thought to becoming one in light of the pictures you posted....

 

Mark P and I are off to Switzerland at 4am tomorrow morning to join our European counterparts for some mental drives on roads like this one.

Time for a bit of off-topic politics...

Has every house in the country received the fancy colour 'Preparing for Emergencies' booklet that came in the post today? Such nuggets as "if a door feels hot, do not open it as it probably means there is a fire on the other side", ...seriously!

How many millions did that cost? Still, always good to know your tax is being well spent.

 

The main gist of the advice seems to be to tune in to the radio. Knowing this, if I were a terrorist I would just bomb all the radio stations!

 

Yep, it's a great document; soft, strong and thouroughly absorbent!

Remember "protect and survive" in the 80s?

 

I love the way the terrorists can ask for copies in their own language just in case they dont understand it!

 

..there's also a bit saying something to the effect that if you cannot read this, it is available in large print, braille or audio! But if you can't read it.....

 

I love the bit about putting the booklet in a safe place...

So when several types of hell break loose and you're buried under a hundred tonnes of rubble, sheltering from the nuclear fallout you can just pop into the kitchen to retrieve it from the drawer... and be told, "tap on pipes so rescuers can hear you".

 

I think my booklet was put in the pile of junk-mail when I got back from holiday, as it looked like an NTL advert leaflet. Oh well.

just had a call from tee arse as he was banned for 2 weeks he went to monaco to his apartment but he is flying back tomorrow just for fchat
Next year he has invited me and f308man and ray ferguson over for the grand prix for a long weekend what a nice gesture for his true friends
