After a month, the car is finally ready to roll. Items re-done : 1) Stripped seats down to bare leather & re-dyed using crema dye from Leatherique. Also re-dyed the center console, door panels, emergency brake, and seat belt covers. 2) Replaced wool deck liner with brown leather. 3) Replaced pedals with Paul Hill pedals. 4) Replaced all carpet. 5) New stereo & door speakers - Trashed the non-stock rear speakers from prior owner. 6) Before the interior, had major service done & I re-painted the red part of the engine. Thanks for all those who helped me along the way : 1) Gianluca - Was great to talk to a fellow enthusiast. The brown leather you sent me looked so great for the rear deck liner that I decided to not even dye it. Thanks for your help & encouragement! 2) Throttleman - I meet Jay on Ferrari chat - Great guy! After the second time meeting me, he came over & helped work on the car for 7 hours! We got the heat shield out (not fun) and he showed me a lot about wiring the ignition, etc. Thanks Jay! 3) George at Leatherique - Great Products! http://www.leatherique.com/ 4) Paul hill - Awesome pedals & shift knob! http://www.hill-engineering.co.uk/home.htm 5) Carpet from Gahh - Thanks Jack! http://www.gahh.com/ 6) All those that lurk around the Technical Q&A forum - Thanks for answering my numerous newbie questions about wiring, console removal, deck liner removal, etc. Couldn't have done anything without this forum - Thanks Rob! 7) Thanks Carl Rose for sending me that CD - HUGE help! 8) Larry at Ferrari Tech for fixing clutch & doing the major service. 9) Byron & Sunny for making Ferrari ownership in So Cal fun! 10) My best freind Dave - Stripped one of the seats, helped with the leather rear deck liner, and was invaluable for the carpet installation. Plus everytime he looked at something he said, "Oh, we can do that." I like his optomism! Finally some before & after pics! Here is the rear deck liner before - The speakers were removed & trashed and the wool was too dirty for my liking: Image Unavailable, Please Login

Slag, That is an awesome project. Thanks for keeping us posted during the progress. You now have one of the best looking 328's out there. Now go drive it!
Thanks Mule - people's reactions made this definitely worth it - I lost about 5 years off my life (the bad years anyway) due to laquer inhalation - I am surprised I ended up doing it all myself - I thought I would have the carpet done by a shop, but just ended up doing it all in my garage with some help from friends along the way. Still have lots of pictures to post, so I'll get back at it.
Stripped down seat on left, re-done seat on right - Notice the headrest of the seat on the left - That was after I started to dye it and thought it wasn't working right - Turns out I just needed to mix the dye better and switched to a brush instead of a rag : Image Unavailable, Please Login
Top headliner done in leather - Also notice the targa top material - Cleaned it using Zymol fabric cleaner - It did a pretty good job : Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here are the new pedals & floor mats & shifter. The pedals and shifter were from Paul Hill and the mats I got on ebay - Seller was europeanfloormats : Image Unavailable, Please Login
